The box is from a maker of crappy Filipino cigars. You'd need much more solid evidence than that to spend $90k on a wooden box someone claims belonged to JFK.

nivanov Posted January 15, 2014 Posted January 15, 2014 I collect full and empty cigar boxes and over the years I have looked at thousands of boxes from all over the world including the Philippines. Looking at this particular box and cigars, in my opinion there a lots of red flags. The box itself is made of cheap quality materials and in seems to be for a low end box of cigars, boxes such as these originating in Manila usually held cheap cigars, cigars that one would give away, not necessarily cigars that would impress someone, furthermore, the cigars themselves look like the do not fit in the box properly. I have a diplomatic box of cigars from ex-Pres Marcos and the box is made with solid hardwoods with a felt bottom and top notch materials. It also has a brass nameplate on the lid which says that this box of cigars is a gift from his excellency Ferdinand Marcos, I will post pictures.

I think it's cool, but I would have at least seen if I could pay 250k for it, and then buy 5 top end aristocrats and spend 200k filling them...

Can't remember for sure.

The guy with the beard that talks about the box is the curator at the Clark County Museum in Las Vegas. If you go to the home page you will see Rick in another video. Though I still wouldn't pay $90k for a box. I'd rather buy some cigars!

There is one that has never been for sale and this one. This is the one that would have sat on his desk. These guys are 100% legit and do the research on there stuff. It's a pawn shop in Las Vegas that has a show that he's been on for a few years now. $90 in Las Vegas is a night at the craps table to some guys.

The only "research" or "proof" presented in the video is that they have a letter they claim was written by JFK's secretary. That's pretty thin. EDIT: The comment above is on point--they should at a minimum be able to dig up a photo that shows the box on his desk.
