westg Posted January 6, 2014 Author Posted January 6, 2014 look fabulous. any reason this is such a great year? I am not entirely sure Ken from a scientific standpoint anyway ..however we have had a particularly good winter here with rain especially, and the bush and forest density has flourished considerably compared to previous years . I would like to think it is one eco system benefiting from another and yes I am well aware of the land and sea factors ..that said I am sure it is cyclical, previous years have been ordinary. The recreational season opened a month early here in W. A due to fisheries based studies on massive increases in numbers of Rock Lobster , again I am not sure on what research methods they use. I do know that just before Christmas professional fisherman were getting over $100 per kilo for Lobster which would be two legal size crayfish to a kilo. The above pictures are a days quota for 4 people so 48 lobster with two boats. Not bad for a couple recreational potters. And of course they were eaten and shared amongst family and friends.

What exactly is thermidor anyway? a creamy sauce , butter, flour, cream, fish stock, salt, paprika, cayenne, parmesan , breadcrumbs. We leave early Mus ..and then to work..it's not easy. The meals we make are simple and quick , everyone pitches in.
