Puros Y Vino Posted January 4, 2014 Author Posted January 4, 2014 Those boxes can be found at various online cigar humidor/accessories vendors. They go from $9 - $12 each.
Puros Y Vino Posted January 4, 2014 Author Posted January 4, 2014 If I may........... when does one come to the conclusion that one of your rarities needs to be smoked? Will it be an occasion, date, milestone? I would want to hold those and never smoke them......yet why have them. Awesome pics. JD Just beautiful…those 1960's RyJ's look like they're from a fresh box. I do wonder the same as above though, are you ever going to smoke these at one point or are they just going to be trophies? These will be smoked. Where I have multiples, I might hold on to one or two longer term. Otherwise, once the weather gets warmer, I'm going to start dipping into these beauties. They've aged long enough.
mgravito Posted January 4, 2014 Posted January 4, 2014 Thanks for the porn. Those are gorgeous. I feel like if I were in your shoes, I would open the box up and say "Meh, not today" over and over again. Nothing is ever too pretty to smoke, but damn that's close.
ramon_cojones Posted January 4, 2014 Posted January 4, 2014 frank after you smokem you just replace them with more vintage smokes
maverickdrinker Posted January 4, 2014 Posted January 4, 2014 frank after you smokem you just replace them with more vintage smokes X2...
BehikeLover2 Posted January 4, 2014 Posted January 4, 2014 best would be if they magically fill up again

I'm the same I've got a few rare, vintage or HTF sticks that I'm saving for special occations Everytime one of those occations come along I pick up one of those sticks and think to myself "Its not a special enough occation" and put it down. The way I'm going, I'll need to get married 10 times and have 30 kids in order to get though them all...
Jnaube Posted January 5, 2014 Posted January 5, 2014 Some amazing stuff in there. nothing else to say than WOW
MontrealRon Posted January 5, 2014 Posted January 5, 2014 Breathtaking, Frank. Thanks so much for the sharing; we will all vicariously smoke them with you. One question, though. How does one date a cigar to precisely 1960, without having bought them fresh at the factory, or having a clear provenance from someone who did just that?

They were purchased at one of Toronto's oldest tobacconists. They had the provenance on them. Same with the others. Only the Sir Winstons were in a date range.
Bolismoker Posted January 5, 2014 Posted January 5, 2014 Can someone point me in the direction of those boxes. They are beauties.
Brickhouse Posted January 5, 2014 Posted January 5, 2014 Very nice boxes and contents. Fun to just look at.
