jedipastor Posted November 10, 2013 Posted November 10, 2013 I hadn't burned an R&J Wide Churchill until this week. Part of it was the stupid name, part was the price, part was the fact that there just aren't many R&Js I like. I've burned 3 of these this week, and each has been excellent! These were exactly a year old, which is very young for me. The flavor is great, and although not that dynamic, it changes up enough to keep things interesting. Also, the body is stronger than I expected, which is great since it's getting cold here and I like stronger sticks when it's cold. Have these always been this great, or did I get a lucky box? Also, when's the next big sale, Rob? I'm going to need more of these to go with my needed Monte PEs.
Cohiba007 Posted November 10, 2013 Posted November 10, 2013 I'm on my first box but really enjoying them.
sk00ts Posted November 10, 2013 Posted November 10, 2013 Loved them when they first came out and love them now. Great smoke
Wil Posted November 11, 2013 Posted November 11, 2013 Have only had one and it was under-filled and had a very loose draw. Did not enjoy
Lotusguy Posted November 11, 2013 Posted November 11, 2013 I had a 10er box from the original release - a few were really good sticks, the rest was underfilled. Did not buy more and probably won't.
Diamondog Posted November 11, 2013 Posted November 11, 2013 Excellent cigar, only one in the marca I smoke aside from some EL's.
alloy Posted November 11, 2013 Posted November 11, 2013 I smoked one from a box that I have out on the patio yesterday afternoon. A really nice smoke. I thoroughly enjoyed it.
puromaniac Posted November 11, 2013 Posted November 11, 2013 Half way through a Sept. 12 box and really enjoying them.
Garnerinho Posted November 11, 2013 Posted November 11, 2013 Always wanted to try these and I think I will give them a chance now. Thanks for the heads up.
jedipastor Posted November 12, 2013 Author Posted November 12, 2013 Smoking another right now, the draw is a touch too tight for my liking, but the flavors are still coming through despite less smoke output. Hopefully it will open up, but either way, still a great cigar! People talk about R&J having a kind of cherry sweetness ... and I've never actually got that out of an R&J until these Wide Churchills. Me likey.
