Skyfall Posted April 24, 2013 Posted April 24, 2013 Of course the idiots of WBC will be picketing the funeral of the 11 firefighters who were killed in last weeks fertilizer plant explosion. Students and Citizens from many colleges and towns will be there providing a line of defense around the service from these goons, and every business/hotel/restaurant in town has been issued pictures of the WBC leaders with instructions not to serve them or even let them in their establishments. Now the law is involved! There is a long family line of very famous lawmen in Waco, Tx, (McNamara Family) = They don't "F" around! District Attorney has also issued his full cooperation.
Orion21 Posted April 24, 2013 Posted April 24, 2013 As they should. These fools are a blight on humanity...
AndrewNR Posted April 24, 2013 Posted April 24, 2013 Yee-Haw. Westboro is already getting the attention and reaction they set out when they do this kind of thing, I don't think they're going to be too concerned. Best just accepting they're a little fruity and letting them ripen all on their own imho,
Natedog Posted April 24, 2013 Posted April 24, 2013 Those people are NUT JOBS. Thank God we have one state in this country willing to stand up to idiots like that.
Skyfall Posted April 24, 2013 Author Posted April 24, 2013 The ring of defense of those wanting to keep WBC out has started a day early!
Jimmy2 Posted April 24, 2013 Posted April 24, 2013 A true Conservative State !!!! Man i love Texas ! God Bless
Dara Posted April 25, 2013 Posted April 25, 2013 Finally people standing up to the nut jobs...now if only the tv cameras could just focus on the people defending the funerals and deny the WBC the air time and publicity they so badly crave!
Dozerhead Posted April 25, 2013 Posted April 25, 2013 Yeah, we don't need that kind of garbage in our state. I'm embarrassed that even I have to share the same planet with these DB's.
Paul3 Posted April 25, 2013 Posted April 25, 2013 When these despicable "protesters" showed up at my four fallen brothers funerals in 2009 we were fortunate enough to have the support of the Patriot Guard Riders. A stellar group of people that ensured the families did not have to see or hear the Reverend and his merry group of scum bags.

Scdalak Posted April 25, 2013 Posted April 25, 2013 ken with out getting too into it, just google Westboro Baptist Church...
Ken Gargett Posted April 25, 2013 Posted April 25, 2013 holy crap, if you'll excuse the pun. they picket the chiefs? i'm still none the wiser as to why they would picket this funeral, other than insanity. i know i am not allowed to mention religion on the site (perhaps i should picket rob for free speech) and i know they are not representative but ..... it seems they often claim they'll attend funerals et al, and then don't. if media outlets would simply ignore them, they'd just wither and die. and does anyone know what the chiefs have done?
Skyfall Posted April 25, 2013 Author Posted April 25, 2013 They picket anything they can They picket as many soldier funerals as they can, the funerals of children, the Newtown children ect... They are the lowest of the low.
Habanos2000 Posted April 25, 2013 Posted April 25, 2013 They are bums and I abhor their actions. But I agree that if the media would just ignore them, they would go away.
MnMWC Posted April 25, 2013 Posted April 25, 2013 They are considered scum in my part of the world... Wait until they meet my wife! . They are abusing freedom of speech!

Edwhatever Posted April 25, 2013 Posted April 25, 2013 I still find this funny http://www.webpronews.com/steve-jobs-funeral-to-be-picketed-by-westboro-church-2011-10 Twittered from iPhone!!
IcedCanuck Posted April 25, 2013 Posted April 25, 2013 i know i am not allowed to mention religion on the site That sort of makes having this topic of conversation off limits...
Skyfall Posted April 25, 2013 Author Posted April 25, 2013 That sort of makes having this topic of conversation off limits... Not really: They aren't really a church, and they are not ordained by the Baptist Convention, or any other convention, for that matter. They gave no establishment required to be an actual church. So if anything try are a cult, club, group, ect. But far from a Church, and very far from actual religion!

You just made it a discussion on religion

I had to not post my original reply because I think it would turn this into a religious debate. I would love nothing more then to publicly take every point you made and debunk them all. I am a VERY outspoken Atheist and shall we say 'enjoy' taking part in these types of conversations/debates.

I don’t think religion has anything to do with this discussion, thread, or plight of these morons. In a nutshell Ken, they feel this is Gods way of punishing man for all his sins. These tragedies, bombings, terrorist attacks are Gods will, Punishment by the "hand of God". Until all of us are "sin free" , these catastrophes will continue to be brought upon us by the "Wrath of God" . They picket the funerals et al. to remind us of this...
cigcars Posted April 25, 2013 Posted April 25, 2013 If you'll notice, when Jesus himself was on earth back in the day, he NEVER had condemnation for any man or woman EXCEPT...for the religious bigots and snobs of his day. THEY were the ones he called brood of snakes, vipers, devil's sons, etc. And this is NOT meant to be a religious statement, but an observation that it was ONLY the ones claiming to represent God, Himself, with their condemnation of others that Jesus condemned. The Westboro "church" folk are in for an unhappy realization when.... and I'll stop there.
