Ron caney anejo centuria. Not in all shops but was in the LCDH at 5 y 16 back in February, the place where Carlos Robaina works. Many gas stations have it too. Or try the Casa de Ron y Tabaco beside the Floridita if you're over that way. 7.60 cuc a bottle and great stuff.

Legendario Elixir de Cuba...I think it sells for like 6 CUC. Still a good value at 20€ duty free in Europe.

I like Santiago de Cuba and I love Legendario. Just discovered it on my last trip to Cuba and am still kicking myself for only bringing back 2 bottles of it

Ron Santiago Anejo

Like mentioned above try Legendario Elixar. It is awesome!

HC7, HC Barrel Proof and HC Seleccion de Maestros

As an American the only one I've tried so far is the HC 7 and HC Anejo reserva. I liked the HC 7 more. Wish I could try all the other ones, but didn't even know they existed until just now..

I feel as if Cuban rum is overrated because of our love of Cuban cigars. Yes there are some good ones out there, but for mmy tastes there are "better" rums from Guyana and other Caribbean islands as opposed to Cuba.

Pretty sure that wasn't the question

I've been to Cuba many times and tried a lot of diff rums just haven't been impressed and wondered if there were any great ones I had missed.... HC barrel proof was my usual go to while in country but would like to try some of the lesser known brand anjeo's this trip...

HC7, HC Barrel Proof and HC Seleccion de Maestros

The barrel proof and the seleccion de maestros are the same...

Just different packaging.

Been 2 years since I tasted the barrel proof, my dad still has a bottle so I might take my SDM to his place some time and compare the two, from what I can remember they are pretty identical.

A cracking rum though nonetheless...

Legendario is not technically rum, but if you like sweet rum, you may love this like I and many others do.

You can get the HC stuff easily all over Canada. When down there, I would try the Santiago, Ron Caney, etc...all the stuff you can't get here and buy the one you like most.

The label says rum flavored with herbs & spices. I like it a lot. Tastes like honey. My favorite from Cuba but there are better rums. Zacapa XO for high end & Gosslings Black Seal for a less expensive budget.

Correct as far as I've been lead to believe as well.
