I think I'd like to move to Texas...man, I could afford all the meat I'd want. Unless you go to Costco in San Francisco, you're paying $25-$40 a pound for a decent USDA Prime steak. Costco it's about 3 decent size steaks for $25-$30.

I cut and eat my own 75% of the time, however the butcher I trust the most at my favorite local Grocer, that does carry the best Prime grade steaks around, runs about $14.00/lbs for Prime Ribeye, ( or hooks me up personally at $8.99/lbs at a frequent buyer)

Veggies again David?? Whats going on?

It was a lapse of rational thinking .... Please forgive me. However 96% are still sitting in the fridge. I keep hoping a vegan friend will come and salvage and save me, but I have none!

Brazo, I was wondering if you have experience with American Wagyu beef. Seems like a better deal than the Japanese stuff, but it's still pretty expensive. What do you think of this "deal": http://www.gilttaste.com/products/77314744-mishima-ranch-american-wagyu-new-york-strip-steaks

I've had experience eating and cooking both American Wagyu and Japaneese Kobe. As they both taste good, my opinion is that they are not worth the price you find them for, and it's not really the way I want my cow tasting. To me it lacks a beefiness that is covered up by fat and richness.
