Hoyo de Monterrey Regalos

Who else are smoking these? I can't get enough of them, they're smoking so damn well. But, is my box just a particularly good box... or are they all this good? If it's the latter, I'm going to work on getting another box or two. I'm over half way through my box which I've held onto since release but they're going fast.

I just smoked one of these from my box a couple days ago. I agree they have been smoking well the past year or so. When I first bought them I wasn't impressed at all, and they have really turned it around.

Yeah same as me. Not so much of a fan on release, so they went out of sight. I found them again and am really impressed.

DB-

I looked these up and gladly found out they're ELs so my wallet thanks you!

LOL - I'm sure you wont be disappointed. I usually wont fork over premium dollar for a box of cigars, but these have aged very well. Worth it in my book.

The few I sampled have been good.. If you look for chocolate in a cigar look no further.. Quite under rated IMHO

Yeah, I get a chocolate sweetness on the lips, but the flavor blasts... like an Upmann Connie 1... yet smoothed out like a VR.

Have always been a fan. Never bought a box of these alone, but bought a bunch in samplers from our hosts.

Imagine them to be quite good now. Enjoy!

I saw Rob had a couple boxes floating around in LFTH recently. I'm going to find out if he has any more by chance.

I've smoked a box that failed to impress me. Not a bad cigar, but too rustic for a Hoyo, too linear and lacking complexity and character.

What are your top 3 hoyo and why? And what's your favorite PC! But seriously on the first question.

I really like them, even though they are very ugly (bumpy, veiny wrappers, blotches, ...), considering they are a premium LE.

I'm into my second box of these and they've been all over the place. Most were decent, some were horrible and a few were amazing. They all seem to be rolled just little a bit too tight so maybe this has something to do with the wild inconsistency I've experienced.

Never cared for these much...

I hated the first two singles I tried a couple of years ago - but then I tried another (gifted) one and ended up picking up a box - they seem to really have come around.

  • 3 weeks later...

Ordered a box of these a couple weeks back and they arrived earlier this week....Claus said these were good LE's so I gave em a try since I am a huge fan of LE's.... smoked a handful so far and have to say they are delicious smokes ! Lots of bittersweet chocolate and just a dash of spice but they definently have some hidden power to them ! In the middle loads of creammy coffee just makes you want to sit down and ponder life !! The wrappers are very rough for LE quality but the construction and burn has been perfect ! They taste fabulous in the mouth even unlit !! The smoke is thick and really sticks to your pallet !! Love the finish which is long and tasty with a very nice aftertaste that lingers on for long after! Like these so much that I will search out for another box to hide away to smoke another day as I can tell already this box I opened on monday wont last thru the month of August !! Excellent cigars and definently a great LE that is kinda under the radar.... I give the best of the 5 ive smoked so far a 93 and the worst a 90....
