ptrthgr8 Posted July 2, 2012 Posted July 2, 2012 I've been waiting for these for a while. I've not yet smoked one (letting them rest for a few days before I try the first one), but the aroma from the box is simply amazing. If these babies smoke as well as they smell in the box then I'm certainly in for a treat. I've never had a Cuban LGC, so I'm excited to give these gorgeous sticks a try. Box code is OGA SEP 11. Cheers, Greg Sent from my HTC Thunderbolt using Tapatalk 2.
rfenst Posted July 3, 2012 Posted July 3, 2012 Consider yourself very fortunate on that box. They are discontinued. I couldn't find them around for a year or two before the discontuation was announced. Luckily, I got a box too 3- months ago. Young. Waiting till they have rested a bit to try one. Hope yours taste as good as they look!
khomeinist Posted July 3, 2012 Posted July 3, 2012 These are not discontinued. Please be diligent with the information you post.
nikesupremedunk Posted July 3, 2012 Posted July 3, 2012 Lucky! I'll get a box one night when I'm too intoxicated and think it's a good idea to spend more $ on cigars
khomeinist Posted July 3, 2012 Posted July 3, 2012 No. HTF does not equal discontinued. The difference should be obvious. LGC 2 has always been produced sporadically. Once again. Read more. Post less.
ptrthgr8 Posted July 3, 2012 Author Posted July 3, 2012 They look Greg, glad you received them As am I, brother! I don't like it when any of them go MIA, of course... but since these are hard to find I was definitely a little apprehensive while waiting. But it turned out well in the end. Cheers, ~ Greg ~
Zaphod42 Posted July 3, 2012 Posted July 3, 2012 They look fantastic, it's a shame LGCs are so hard to come by.
shrink Posted July 3, 2012 Posted July 3, 2012 While I haven't yet had a 2011 LGC No. 2, I've sampled a couple from a 2008 box. Nowhere near ready. The 2002's on the other hand are pretty damned good.
Smallclub Posted July 3, 2012 Posted July 3, 2012 Hard to track down != discontinued. Oh really… 18 months ago the whole LGC line was widely available everywhere; a box of No.2 could be had for less than $200. One year ago, the No.3, No.4 and Tainos were still available from several online vendor. Then I ask: where were those people who now howl with the wolves?
Guest rob Posted July 3, 2012 Posted July 3, 2012 Hard to track down != discontinued. That logic implies Sir Winston's were discontinued in 2003 and re introduced in 2008
Ophidion Posted July 3, 2012 Posted July 3, 2012 Not many programmers here I guess. ! Is "not" when speaking in terms of comp programming hence != is "not equal". Rob has said in the past as have other vendors, that lgc isn't pumping out a lot of cigars and they ones he has seen are mostly under filled. A month or so ago, a vendor put up new stock and since then people have been getting it regularly and the stock has been of very good quality. There are places that have tainos, mdo 1 2 an 4, but I'm not willing to pay the prices they are asking... Well after I got my box of mdo 2 at least.
