ramon_cojones Posted April 17, 2012 Posted April 17, 2012 Cohiba. I've never had a good one never mind great! The best I can say I've had is a great first half of a siglo IV, the second half being sour and grubby. I just won't buy them anymore. Depends on where they are rolled imho.
MoneyPit Posted April 17, 2012 Posted April 17, 2012 Depends on where they are rolled imho. How do you know which factory they are rolled in?
Michel1968 Posted April 17, 2012 Posted April 17, 2012 Any San Cristobal and since this very evening: Sig V...
Orion21 Posted April 17, 2012 Posted April 17, 2012 Hoyo Epi 2 -- as much as guys like them I find them to be the worst Robusto in the HSA line. I know Rob has been swearing by them as of late, but my past experience just can't justify a box purchase.
Wil Posted April 17, 2012 Posted April 17, 2012 Monte Edmundo. Every one I've had has been an underfilled wind tunnel.
gersonmorelli Posted April 17, 2012 Posted April 17, 2012 I second the Montecristo Edmundo and add to that the RyJ Short Churchill (out of the 5 I've tried not a single one was good). I've never been impressed with the Bolivar PC and RC either. I know pretty much is a huge fan of these, but Bolivar is not my cup of tea (with few exceptions i.e. Bolivar Legendarios 08 Switzerland RE). But that's a different topic anyway...
davidsan Posted April 17, 2012 Posted April 17, 2012 Monte No2 would definitely be my nemesis cigar. On a brand front though R&J seem to be my nemesis brand.
NJP Posted April 17, 2012 Posted April 17, 2012 Punch punch. I keep trying but I still miss the point. I will keep trying as I don't give anything up.
canadianbeaver Posted April 17, 2012 Posted April 17, 2012 Not happy to hear about the R&J SC... just picked up a pair today. As for the Monte #2 FOH guys have been dumping on those for weeks...
brazoseagle Posted April 18, 2012 Posted April 18, 2012 Boli RC & any Punch I've ever tried. Also Cohiba Secretos.
Dbone Posted April 18, 2012 Posted April 18, 2012 I'll say this, I can depend on the Boli PC, Monte Esp, and RASS. Everything else is up to the Cuban Cigar lotto, winners today are not the winners of tomorrow.
Montaigut Posted April 18, 2012 Posted April 18, 2012 Cigar appreciation is, as we all experience everytime we light up, a matter of personal taste. If I knock down a particular cigar I am essentially criticizing somebody else's taste. I really do not want to do that.... ... except for the El Pluggo, all vitolas!
Styler Posted April 18, 2012 Posted April 18, 2012 If I knock down a particular cigar I am essentially criticizing somebody else's taste. I really do not want to do that.... There's a difference between saying you don't like something and having a go at someone else for liking something you don't. I love RASS, but I'm not offended by the people who have said that they don't get on with them. Either they have been unlucky with the sticks they have bought, there was a problem with their construction/condition or it simply was not to their taste. The two that sprint to mind for me are the Monty 2 and the Boli RC. Two cigars that a lot of people rave about but try as I might I just can't see the attraction. In fact with Montecristo, the only one I've really enjoyed was the 2008 EL (speaking of which, I really must get a couple of the 2010 EL...).
