Thanks guys, after 5 hours of numerous tornados, and a wife stranded in her car, baseball sized hail, and me and my son bunkered down under a mattress in our bath tub. It has passed and we are finally in the clear. No power or phone, but the Lord Giveth me internet and FOH!

As I make light, we are happy to be safe with no damage, there are 100's with damage though, it is very sad.

Some of the hail from today.

Storms seem to be out of the Dallas area now but heading NE/E. Dallas news still calling possible tornadoes on the ground in that direction and heading NE.

My office is in Rockwall County and House in Hunt County, both were hit pretty hard, and both had tornados.

It looks like 8 or 9 different tornado's. From 12:30 pm - 4:30 pm and maybe more on the way.

Glad to see y'all are safe David. I was tracking the storms from my place in College Station this afternoon. A great friend of mine lives in north Dallas. Thankfully his family and friends all are safe. He was in shock when I showed him the video of the 18-Wheeler trailers flipped over on the highway.

Glad you're OK. Our corporate office is at 114 and Beltline and they had the hail taking windows out of cars etc... Used to live in Flower Mound and the hail could be bad.

I've never seen hail like that Brazo, scarey weather for sure. Glad you and your family are safe. Best wishes to all other who have been affected by this terrible and distructive weather.

sheesh... I've lived in Nebraska all my life... and I have never seen hail that big. Hail is normally marble size to smaller, but i have seen spiny ping pong-sized when I was a kid. I've been stuck in a car during a storm dropping marble-size hail... it sucked. I couldn't image being stuck in a car with baseball size hail smashing it.

I've also been lucky to have never seen a tornado in real life. (knock on wood) They've been around, just never close enough. Just enough to ruin several birthday parties when I was a kid... :thumbsdwn:

We've had numerous incidents (per year usually) of marble- to golf-ball-sized hail up this way (we're on the northeastern fringe of "tornado alley"). But nothing quite that big! Vehicles definitely don't stand a chance against that kind of ammunition!!!

Wow. Hope all are safe!

Goodness, I hope everyone is doing well down there. It doesn't look like this system is done yet. Hopefully it calms down before it gets much closer.... :hole:

Taken this afternoon by a local photographer right down the road from my house.

David,

Glad to hear you're ok. That photo is both scary and fascinating all at the same time - well fascinating from the safety of my couch that is. I'd be needing a change of underpants had I experienced that.

Peace and keep safe.
