El Presidente Posted February 24, 2012 Posted February 24, 2012 Well gents we are a month into the competition and our first weigh in is required. There in NO need to post a photo. The only photo required is the final weigh in (June). Let us know how you are going...who is struggling...who is doing well...changes that you have noticed. I am going pretty well. Down to 97 kg yesterday and doing it pretty easily. Simple changes to diet, regular exercise etc. Please post your weight on this thread between now and the 7th of March. On the 8th I will update the spreadsheet. Keep going! Rob
Lotusguy Posted February 25, 2012 Posted February 25, 2012 Oh crap..... You should have asked your wife to participate instead of you - she just dropped a whole baby's worth of weight
CanuckSARTech Posted February 25, 2012 Posted February 25, 2012 You should have asked your wife to participate instead of you - she just dropped a whole baby's worth of weight LOL. She's already been bragging about it - "Look hun - less than two weeks since we had Paige, and I'm already a pound below my pre-pregnancy weight!!!!" Damnit.....
coblos Posted February 25, 2012 Posted February 25, 2012 Down 4.2kg to 82.2kg. Have been very active, trying to get a head start on the Northern Hemisphere while our days are still long. Gave up the road running and have been doing a lot of mountain bike riding, so much fun, can't believe the poor old bike was neglected for so long.
HydroRaven Posted February 25, 2012 Posted February 25, 2012 Down to 79.9 Kg Just been cutting portions, eating healthier foods and less of it.
madandana Posted February 25, 2012 Posted February 25, 2012 I'm feeling pretty good.down to 109 even though I just got off a week of vacation.I,ve been lifting weights for the first time in 25 years.I'm doin a little time on the tread mill-just 20 min. a day.I quit eating white bread and cut out as much sugar as possible.Eating meats and veggies.Having alot of snacks through out the day so I'm not starved at supper time.Oh and the biggest thing,I quit drinking during the week.
sighuber Posted February 25, 2012 Posted February 25, 2012 I've lost about 5.5kg. I reduced calorie intake quite a bit, especially carbs, and starting running again. I've been building up the mileage each week. Next week I'll try for 20 miles.
orangedog Posted February 25, 2012 Posted February 25, 2012 coming in at 134.5 kg today... haven't changed much other than a little bit better focus on vegetables. I was originally planning on things slowing a bit at work so I would have time to focus on "self improvement", but just as my "break" was about to start things got really busy again. i've squeezed in two or three runs over the past 3 or 4 weeks, and that's about it for exercise. still eating waaaaay too many simple carbs, and not working out the way I need to be. i may at the least put in the effort to get up to three workouts per week and cut the simple carbs. that would be a good step.
NMJoe Posted February 25, 2012 Posted February 25, 2012 95.1 Kg today. I've been watching what I eat, if not what I drink, and exercising, but very infrequently. I need to do better, but I've been struggling with some health issues since 2009, which is why I needed to lose weight in the first place. Back then I was 76.7 Kg (169 Lbs) and I'm 5' 11.5" tall. I'm still not healthy, but I can do a little more than I have been able to for the last several years. I guess I'm struggling with starting over. I was in tremendously good shape back in '09, at the age of 40. I ran and I lifted weights every day. And now, I am medically unable to do those things, so I'm finding it difficult to get motivated when I'm so limited in how I can exercise and the effort it takes to do those limited things. Ok, pity party is over. I'm glad Rob put this together so that I can lean on the community for motivation and hold myself accountable via the weigh-ins. I do appreciate your efforts, Rob. Keep going, everyone. If we do, we all win. Cheers! Joe
bacalao Posted February 25, 2012 Posted February 25, 2012 Current weight 123kg still a fat bastard, but a smaller one then a month ago. Eating better but not exercising as much as I should.
CanuckSARTech Posted February 26, 2012 Posted February 26, 2012 I done got five or six days until I weigh in. Not looking forward to doing it one day earlier than needed.
Bcrowell Posted February 26, 2012 Posted February 26, 2012 102.25 I have lost .25 of a kilogram. I am well on my way to losing 2 lbs. I might win the mister consistancy ribbon.
Drguano Posted February 26, 2012 Posted February 26, 2012 I am down to 110.7 kg. I might have lost more but Friday night I had to pay tribute to Sant'Antonio Abate.
BENN Posted February 26, 2012 Posted February 26, 2012 Stress and eating bad, health issues within my family so I have not done anything right, gains some weight 148 kg
Fuzz Posted February 27, 2012 Posted February 27, 2012 81 kg at the moment. Follow my efforts in the link below Magnus Mate, you're cheating! You cut meat out of your diet!! Fire up the bbq and thrown on half a cow!!
Orion21 Posted February 27, 2012 Posted February 27, 2012 Started at 96.4kg and as of this morning was down to 91.6kg That's 212.5 lbs to start and now 202 lbs. I am going to try my hardest to get down to 200lbs by the end of the week so that I claim a 5% drop in body weight. I notice that my "fat pants" are way to big and I am migrating to pants I haven't worn in 3 years. Also, I was down to the last notch on most belts and now am using the 3rd or 4th. It feels good, but I am still hungry a lot of the time. . .oh well. With baby #2 on the way I can't afford to be a "fat bastard" anymore
El Presidente Posted February 28, 2012 Author Posted February 28, 2012 81 kg at the moment. Follow my efforts in the link below Magnus That looks absolutely brutal! 30 days would be a nightmare!
hebbe72 Posted February 28, 2012 Posted February 28, 2012 Anyone tryed the Cambridge diet? My wife put me on the Cambridge diet for a week before starting with LCHF diet. It was a bloody nightmare. No solid food for an entire week. Constantly hungry. Never again!
BENN Posted February 28, 2012 Posted February 28, 2012 My wife put me on the Cambridge diet for a week before starting with LCHF diet. It was a bloody nightmare. No solid food for an entire week. Constantly hungry. Never again! There are different levels but I did it for a week and had 3 meal replacements per day and about 100 grams shrimp or chicken per day. I dropped 7 kilos in one week. 7 months later I have still not gained everything back
Fuzz Posted February 28, 2012 Posted February 28, 2012 Weighed in this morning at 83.6kg. Slowly, but surely.
