CanuckSARTech Posted February 15, 2012 Posted February 15, 2012 Can't speak for 11's really (aside from RA Extras ELs, which are great). But for 10's - RASS, Trini Robusto T's, Mag 46.
Lotusguy Posted February 16, 2012 Posted February 16, 2012 RASS seconded. Just had a PLPC from Feb '11 and those still need a lot of time...
CanuckSARTech Posted February 16, 2012 Posted February 16, 2012 RASS seconded. Just had a PLPC from Feb '11 and those still need a lot of time... Actually, I will agree with what Claus said. I have an HQ 50-cab of PLPC (May 2011 "MLO"), and while they're beautiful and dark and lovely and oily, they will definitely need a few years.
riazp Posted February 16, 2012 Posted February 16, 2012 Jul 10 Rass, feb 11 party shorts are great, may 11 BPC are also very exellent, april 11 upmann half coronas smoking great...sep 10 PSD4s are just EPIC. best psd4s in a long time
maverickdrinker Posted February 16, 2012 Posted February 16, 2012 cohiba lanceros and siglo VIs, another vote for the RASS and BHK 54s
Sutton Posted February 16, 2012 Posted February 16, 2012 2011 SLR series A and 2010 RyJ wides both really nice cigars young/fresh, so long as you don't have a problem with the ring gauge on the wides. Both from the same factory.
rfenst Posted February 16, 2012 Author Posted February 16, 2012 ... Just had a PLPC from Feb '11 and those still need a lot of time... I have cabs from '08 that still need more time. I have noticed the same with '09 PL Panatelas and '08 Montecarlos. I would venture to say that PL have not smoked very well young and really need at least three years, if not four or longer.
Rushman Posted February 16, 2012 Posted February 16, 2012 RASS for sure --- I am here: http://maps.google.com/maps?ll=20.631650,-87.070535
bstarrs Posted February 16, 2012 Posted February 16, 2012 I have two boxes of POL SEP10 Royal Coronas that are smoking very well and are very enjoyable. I have also been enjoying 2011 RASS, BPCs, Shorts, and SLR Regios.
fingerburner Posted February 16, 2012 Posted February 16, 2012 Boli Royal Coronas Totally. These and a box of JL2's are the only things I have open from '10 or '11 at the moment. Both smoking very well indeed.
Tashaz Posted February 16, 2012 Posted February 16, 2012 I have to agree the 2010 RASS & Boli RCs are well worth anyone's time if my boxes are anything to go by.
nikosdoc Posted February 16, 2012 Posted February 16, 2012 Well into the second cab of RASS Abr11 and they are marvelous. Also great BBF cab Feb 11,also excellent. Overall i think 11 would be a very good year of production.
pedro7913 Posted February 16, 2012 Posted February 16, 2012 Smoking Monte Cristo Edmundos, Gran Reserva #2's, Maravillas, and Gran Maravillas.
ramon_cojones Posted February 17, 2012 Posted February 17, 2012 ^are those 2010 and 2011s smoking good right now?
Hubba Posted February 17, 2012 Posted February 17, 2012 Every P2 I've smoked from 2010 has been heavenly....
Dbone Posted February 17, 2012 Posted February 17, 2012 I've just ripped into an '10 box of Connie 1's, wow! Monte tends to smoke well young as a general statement.
Dbone Posted February 17, 2012 Posted February 17, 2012 2010 Upmann no.2's have been really great I've heard a lot of chatter on this. I do enjoy a good Upmann, not had the no. 2 tho. I should give it a shot-in-the-dark and pick up a sampler or even a nice HQ box. The only reservation I had were on the vitola. With that said I have a Monte 2 sitting on my desk LOL Wouldn't be the first time I'd be pleasantly surprised with a Habano whose expectations I had set low.
