Tan1801
Wow $666 is extreme. Didn't realise there were different corporate fines. But the normal individuals penalties doesn't seem too bad. I've been on the end of the Victorian one more times than I would care to and trust me it hurts. less than 10km/h 1 point + $153.00 10km/h or more but less than 15km/h 3 points + $244.00 15km/h or more but less than 25km/h 3 points + $244.00 25km/h or more but less than 30km/h 4 points + $336.00 30km/h or more but less than 35km/h 4 points + $397.00 + 1 Month Suspension 35km/h or more but less than 40km/h 6 points + $458.00 + 6 Month Suspension 40km/h or more but less than 45km/h 6 points + $519.00 + 6 Month Suspension 45km/h or more 8 points + $611.00 + Licence Cancellation? From 40 onwards they can take the car.

winelover
The UK is very good value for speeding as it is £60 plus 3 penalty points for most infractions. Of course if you are going ridiculously fast you are looking at Court and a more hefty fine and a possible driving ban.
Ken Gargett
best thing for speeding was at a roadside speed camera in canberra, a bunch of kids fronted up, knocked on the door and expressed an interest. cops were a bit chuffed and invited them in. meanwhile, another of the gang pinched the number plates from the mobile speed trap, put them on his own car and then spent the rest of the afternoon driving at high speed through the trap. a week or so later, the cops got a dozen speed fines for the stationary speed trap. priceless.
