El Presidente Posted December 23, 2011 Posted December 23, 2011 On behalf of Lise, Di, Smithy, Kurt, Ben, John and myself I would like to wish you all a magnificent Christmas and a safe, prosperous and healthy New Year! It has been a hell of a year! I can't thank Di, Smithy and Kurt enough for the effort they have put into the year as a whole but the last quarter in particular. It has been non stop from moving premises to the new Palacio, fitting out the premises, Lise going on maternity leave, Di filling in huge shoes, the remarkable launch and success of our ShooaAway product.....6-7 day weeks, 12 hours a day +......they are exhausted and in dire need of a 10 day break You couldn't ask for a better team, better group of friends who pull together and get the job done without angst or single complaint. I have stuffed up from time to time (living without Lise has not always been smooth ) yet Di and Smithy cover my arse, pick up the pieces and move forward. 2012 will be a huge year for us and I look forward to the success of each and every one of the team. There have been many highlights this year but two stand out. The first has been the whirlwind world trip catching up with old friends and meeting new ones in Hong Kong, Singapore, Dublin, Toronto, Buenos Aires and Santiago. The hospitality and laughs are the core of FOH and were showcased in spades. Time spent together is the heart and soul of the cigar community be that the local reprobates who visit Czars (and the many international members who come through) or the great banter and friendships we share on FOH. So many of you have taken advantage of that to get together all over the world. Brilliant The second highlight has been the birth Tuesday of Dominic Frank Goreta to my best friend Lise and hubby Frank. This caps off a great Christmas ....to see someone you love so happy after a decade of disappointment is beyond words. She goes home Christmas day. She sends her love and hugs to all. I would like to thank the work and great counsel of the moderating team in Ross, Guy, Trevor, Wilkey and Ken. Their friendship, good humour and behind the scene efforts are never forgotten. Cheers gents and thankyou Finally to all our FOH community...take a bow. You have showcased the best aspects of what a community is. Each of you are keepers of the FOH flame and you do it magnificently. Friendship, Laughter, Loyalty to each other. Life is not a Dress Rehearsal. No Tossers...No Wankers Merry Christmas. Rob

Looking forward to getting together with you again Rob (and Smithy??) again soon hopefully. And, looking forward to a great FOH get-together in Montreal at the end of January.
