riazp Posted October 14, 2011 Posted October 14, 2011 After Guy's wonderfull post about Hamlet's Robusto Extra, If you have not read it yet, do your self a favor and click HERE. And well alot of us canadians raving about his cigars, And for the lucky ones, have met him either at a store he was rolling at during his canadian tour, or at the FoH Herf back in august, have had the privilege to spend a moment with him and talk to the man, pick his brain about habanos, the art of making a cigar, the process, and just everyday stuff too. I stumbled upon this video of him as a guest roller at the LCDH in London, and I wanted to share this for those who have never met the man. (Mods, Rob gave me the ok to post this) I hope you guys enjoy it, and better yet, I hope you too have the privilege to meet him one day. http://www.youtube.com/user/HavaHavana?blend=7&ob=5#p/u/11/g40j79ulG1I
JohnnyC Posted October 14, 2011 Posted October 14, 2011 Thanks Riazp for the post. Seeing Hamlet in the video brings me back why I love to go to Cuba every year..... the people.
AlohaStyle Posted October 14, 2011 Posted October 14, 2011 Thanks for sharing that video, very entertaining as I like how he is talking the entire time. If anyone is interested, I took a video of Hamlet a couple weeks ago in Vancouver when he was there. It is a little boring as there isn't any interaction going on during the video, simply watching him roll an entire cigar from start to finish. But for anyone that wants to see him roll from start to finish, it's a good video.
NJP Posted October 14, 2011 Posted October 14, 2011 That's it I'm going to Cuba for some customs. Anyone free to feed the dog for a few weeks.
Dbone Posted October 14, 2011 Posted October 14, 2011 That was fun to watch. I hope to someday get to meet Hamlet and have some of his famous custom rolls. That movie made my morning, thanks!!
Puros Y Vino Posted October 14, 2011 Posted October 14, 2011 I like what he says about letting the cigar go out on it's own, really shows how passionate he is. Not only can he roll but he can really engage the customers/public beautifully. And he is so right, if you're done with the cigar..leave it be. Don't mash it into the ashtray like a cigarette.
