CigarCanuck Posted October 7, 2011 Posted October 7, 2011 Today was a fun experience as I got to meet a true legend in our fantastic hobby. I've never been able to see such artists at work, but I got the chance today. I wanted to send out a big thanks to the BOTL in Toronto; mavericdrinker, tmac77, bundwallah, and honorary mention to riazp (you're close enough). Watching the magic unfold was pretty amazing !!!
riazp Posted October 7, 2011 Posted October 7, 2011 Good to see our boy LOL, what did you pick up over there Canuck? did you ask him for a long and skinny like maverickdrinker proposed? LOL
Schumi5 Posted October 7, 2011 Posted October 7, 2011 That is great, thanks for sharing! Is he still in Vancouver? If so, do you know where he will be this weekend?
Puros Y Vino Posted October 7, 2011 Posted October 7, 2011 Hey Shiraz. Glad you got to meet Hamlet. Awesome guy. Thanks for the shout out, it was no problem. Art made the call. Cheers, Frank
laficion Posted October 8, 2011 Posted October 8, 2011 I wanted to send out a big thanks to the BOTL in Toronto; mavericdrinker, tmac77, bundwallah, and honorary mention to riazp (you're close enough). 4 times well done guys, Bravo !!!!
maverickdrinker Posted October 8, 2011 Posted October 8, 2011 Glad you got to meet him. Did he roll you a lancero?
Guest rob Posted October 8, 2011 Posted October 8, 2011 excellent work.... Oh, and for reference, I've got 5 Hamlet Lanceros that Prez organised for me about 4 years ago!!!
AlohaStyle Posted October 8, 2011 Posted October 8, 2011 That is great, thanks for sharing! Is he still in Vancouver? If so, do you know where he will be this weekend? I met him last weekend at City Cigar. He said he was at Revolution tonight (Friday) and I believe that's it for Vancouver.
Schumi5 Posted October 8, 2011 Posted October 8, 2011 Thanks for all the info guys. I managed to make it to Revolucion last night and had the pleasure of seeing Hamlet in action. They had a two cigar limit per customer on his custom rolls but ended up with two of his topredos and two of the robustos (tunred my wife into a cigar customer for the night). Had one of the robustos last night and it was a real treat, we'll let the others age a little and see how they develop. Quite the experience to see a master roller at work.
zathan Posted October 8, 2011 Posted October 8, 2011 Lucky guys. It would be nice if he could make it to Montreal. And city cigar has quite a nice selection. I don't think I've seen anything bigger so far.
