My all time every day cigar is definitely the Partagas SdC#3. Too bad this one is no longer around :(

My all time occasional favorite is the RA 8-9-8 from 02. Simply wonderful!

WOW both of these are among my all time favorites. But I would have to say 1998 Montecristo Especiales were the best cigar ever for me.

my every day cigar would have to be the PSD4 and as for my special smoke it would be a 5-10 year old Cohiba Lancero

Hmmm... a tad too hard to select a one time fav. A bit like asking what's one's most enjoyed movie or film; too many to select just one. I've been sent to cigar-nirvana heaven by Por Larranaga Petite corona, Partagas 898...even a counterfeit Cohiba Esplendidos that to all possible definition must have been a "sneak-out" from the "factory"; it was grainy, greenish, ugly, you name it. But it was among the most fantastic of habana smokes I've EVER experienced...I was shocked and ecstatic. H. Upmann Sir Winston; Ramon Allones Gigantes; Montecristo No. 2...sorry! just couldn't select "one" greatest experience!

For myself, it's really hard to pick a favorite cigar but ok, if I must, Id say:

- Montecristo D LE2005 :perfect10:

Everyday cigar would have to be a VR Unicos.

H Upmann Sir Winston 2003

I'll never forget how I came to acquire them. I was talking to Prez on the phone... and asked him to keep an eye open for a stellar box of Espledidos..... he paused and in a mild mannered way encouraged me to save my money on those and buy his last box of the 2003 Winnys. Even though at the time id only known him for about 2 years... I knew better than to question his experience and honesty. His recommendation saved me $500 and had me own my best ever box of smokes.

I've still got some here for the day he visits!

Best Cuban cigar I've smoked to date is the 2010 Behike 52. Almost perfection IMO!

the only reason i made rules is because if not, people start coming up with all sorts of imaginary bs fantasy cigars. like a 1960s punch dunhill, cuban pre-embargo davidoff etc etc etc. lol...... but seriously if anyone does have pre embargos to donate..... hit me up...... lol

one can get the pre-embargo davidoffs at a shop in Tokyo. Chateau Margot (sp?) was really as good as one could hope for for 25,000¥

Sold out I believe :looking: was that you?

Best for me was a one stick Punch DC from 2008 box. An insane purchase of random boxes followed :clown2: .

Regular will be SLR DC.

For me the special cigar is the Cohiba Sublimes,i do not think Cohiba will produce a better cigar, the other cigar is the Partagas Serie D #4.

Best cigar ever, at the moment. I got to try some Behike 56 a week before they were released at the festival last year. The cigar was very nice but it was being able to try it before nearly everyone else that made it somewhat special. Smoking them with friends added to it.

Best regular, it's a toss up between the Upmann and Diplomatico No. 2.

As an everyday cigar, I would chose

Ramon Allones Small Club Corona,

best ever, as it marked my first encounter with cuban cigars:

Hoyo de Monterrey Epicure No. 2, early 80's, before they changed the blend.

No Hoyo or any other of today comes even close to that heavenly cigar.

Having heard/read about Upmann 1492, Don Candido etc.,

I have a long way to go to earn other connaisseurs expertise, though...

for me its a toss up between the 02 RA 898's and the Original release 03 Cohiba Siglo VI's for best regular production smokes. they are both consistently brilliant. As for the best ever smoke, thank you once again Brian for the 1986 La Escepcion Longos. This cigar sets the benchmark on earthy, forest floor flavors. O how I only wish I could have smoked it with a well aged Burgundy. Perfection, at least for me.

Hi Alan,

Stop thanking me ! :) it was my pleasure to share and read your great review posted on ICC. If my house was on fire and I had to run into my basement walk-in to save 1 box in my collection...these would be the box I would grab on the way out no question. I have smoked my fair share of vintage/rare stuff and these are the best, a consistent 100 pointer for me every time. I feel very lucky to have these. Hope all is well!
