brazoseagle Posted September 23, 2011 Posted September 23, 2011 Every now and then , especially in the heat of the Texas summers, I like a good short cigar that packs great flavor and complexity still. I am curious to everyone else's choices and lists for favorite shortys. Just name your fav and why or provide a list of your favorites in order and why! My two favorites are the Part. Shorts and the Trinidad Reyes - Because they don't compromise on flavor!!!
Colt45 Posted September 23, 2011 Posted September 23, 2011 For me, Bolivar Coronas Junior and Montecristo No.5 - for exactly the reason you mention - I find them full flavored representatives of their respective marques.

aes8 Posted September 23, 2011 Posted September 23, 2011 Aged Party shorts from a cab or old Party PCs if you can find them
riazp Posted September 23, 2011 Posted September 23, 2011 Simple, any cuban PC or Minuto, great cigars, probably some of the most consistent habanos.
CigarAsh Posted September 23, 2011 Posted September 23, 2011 Monte Petite Edmundo's have been terrific.
Plato Posted September 23, 2011 Posted September 23, 2011 I dont have that much experience with cuban shorts. The only CC shorts I've bought boxes of are Partagas Shorts and Trinidad Reyes. I finished an entire box of the Reyes (HQ) and the draw and construction have all been perfect. They range from good, to REALLY GOOD. I am 2/3 of a way through a box of 25 Partagas Shorts (HQ). Totally different flavor obviously. However, about 50% of them have had really tight draws. I really prefer the easier draw on the Reyes thus far. Also, the Reyes have more FINESSE. I dig em. Itd be nice if they were cheaper...
cigcars Posted September 23, 2011 Posted September 23, 2011 Does Por Larranaga Petite Corona apply? 'Cuz those are my FAVORITE little seegars!! :cigar:
MoneyPit Posted September 23, 2011 Posted September 23, 2011 Boli CJ's are a must try if you haven't had the pleasure.
brazoseagle Posted September 23, 2011 Author Posted September 23, 2011 Boli CJ's are a must try if you haven't had the pleasure. I want to try the boli's bad, I never think about it everytime I make my orders.
brazoseagle Posted September 23, 2011 Author Posted September 23, 2011 Now I'm fixated on getting my hands on 1 Boli CJ ASAP to cure my infatuation of wanting to try it. Anybody who has any want to make a trade for a quick shipment??????
Orion21 Posted September 23, 2011 Posted September 23, 2011 Boli PC. I love their sweetness. An amazing blend in those cigars. A more feminine version of the BRC in my view.
nonameno Posted September 24, 2011 Posted September 24, 2011 Hello Fellow FOHers, I have really been enjoying the RASCC! It is small and full of flavor. A real treat any time. Thank you, Curtiss
maverickdrinker Posted September 24, 2011 Posted September 24, 2011 cohiba siglo I RASCC trinidad reyes party shorts monte no 5
mbrody Posted September 24, 2011 Posted September 24, 2011 All of them. I agree that the size has great representations of each marca. I, however, am truly excited about the Upman half corona...show yourself already!
noreaster Posted September 24, 2011 Posted September 24, 2011 Anyone ever tried JL Patricias? Incredible if u can find them.don't think they are made anymore.
Lotusguy Posted September 24, 2011 Posted September 24, 2011 I like almost all of the shortys - my favorite would be the Trini Reyes, though.
77stoneblues Posted September 24, 2011 Posted September 24, 2011 I enjoy all of them for sure. My top five: Monte 5, Cohiba Secretos, San Cristobal El Principe, Trinidad Reyes, HdM Du Maire. And secretly, the little Cuaba too.
Pilgrims Posted September 24, 2011 Posted September 24, 2011 Party Shorts and Trini Reyes please don"t ask me to decide...
Torpo Posted September 24, 2011 Posted September 24, 2011 I find that the Trini Reyes are the most consistent of the half coronas. Pound for pound a great cigar. I love a good Sig 1 when they're on but too many construction problems.
livedavid Posted September 25, 2011 Posted September 25, 2011 Definitely the Reyes. I blew through a box this summer...
