I have been back for a few days now and have had a chance to catch up on most of my work as well as spend time with family and friends. Friends most of which have popped onto the deck incesantly for a bottle of wine and a cigar !LOL!

I can't thank all the lads around the world enough for such a wonderful show of hospitality  It started well before the trip with so many of you offerng me the chance to stay at your homes. I was truly humbled. I am also a shocking house guest !LOL! ...and hence sought the refuge of member recommended hotels which all were excellent.

What I would like to do is to thank some people publicly.

Rob Fox ( of JJ Fox)

A pitiful sailor indeed !LOL! Rob opened up his work, his city, his friends and his family to me. There is a quality about Rob Fox which stands out like a beacon...similar to the ones he appeared to aim for when sailing rolleyes.gif

He is certainly part of my "Petrol and Match" club.....blokes with whom a night out is fraught with danger.

Andy Ryan

In many ways Andy is a far better dressed Irish version of Ken rotfl.gif

Delightful company, quick witted, always up for a tale and a laugh, the last to leave any big night out. His passion for cigars is reflected in his immense knowledge on the subject but more importantly he has a passion for life, living and people. He is the epitome of FOH.

Yes...he looks the part as a sailor...don't let that fool you!

Tom (Tmac77)

From the moment I met him at Toronto airport you could sense the quality of the individual. Tom has that easy going laid back charm...loves a laugh...a drink...a cigar. We spent a lot of time together over the few days I was in Toronto and I enjoyed every minute. His work with Frank in putting together one of the great cigar events was herculean. They carried it off with a jovial ease and it set the tempo for a night of laughter and friendship.

Brilliant work mate!

Frank (bundwallah)

The other half of the Toronto Dynamic Duo! Just a beautiful bloke who exudes friendship, quality and class. I thoroughly enjoyed a home cooked meal at his place with his lovely wife and Tom. Frank did film an end of night Cigar Video Review when we were...well..."past our best" !LOL! If it ever sees the light of day it will be rivetting!

Thanks for everything Frank! I won't forget it.

Federico (Taino)

I love going to Santiago Chile and one of the main reasons is to catch up with winemaker Federico biggrin.gif

What is not to love about this great bloke who not only loves a cigar but allows me to walk among the barrels of his winery tapping/sampling their exquisite goodness! What a great couple of days with a mate drinking, learning, smoking, sharing a fine meal.

I can't thank you and everyone else I caught up with enough. The spirit of fellowship is indeed strong within FOH but it is you (one and all) that carry the candle and show the way. A thank you also to Lise, Smithy, Di, Kurt who's tireless efforts back home allowed me the time away to experience such friendship.

"Friendship, fraternity, laughter, loyalty........No Tossers No Wankers....Life is not a Dress Rehearsal!"

The Sun never sets on FOH!

It's like a log fire which anyone from around the World can pull up a seat to and take the chill off their bones in a time when other fire's flames are not as bright and embers are not as warm.

Only the parts that aren't obscured by a state of blackout drunkenness, or aren't too risque to ever be repeated, likely, eh?

Great Post Rob

Sounds like you had an absolute ball on your sojourn around the world one that would make Phileas Fogg proud

Like I have always said and will keep on saying is that F.O.H is greater than the sum of it's parts

Cheers OZ(Steve) :cigar:

I just realised I never responded to this, I was thinking about this earlier in the day. Great times and an enormous pleasure to have you over Rob, it was really great fun.

Don't let that basta%d Fox fool you, because of him I'll be arriving into Havana on Sunday night with no accomodation organised.. :clown2:

Prez, I've no idea what we'll be getting up to for most of next week but I know you'll be missed..

There'll be pictures.
