What's an "S" between Friends

Oh. Damn.

I suppose that's why I had our IT department register 44 associated domain names when we launched our company's online learning resources website.

What can you going to do about this, if anything, Rob?

That's SO sneaky, but I gotta admit it's pretty smart.

Yeah I was thinking something similar.Very "cute" in an underhand, disgraceful way,if that makes sense.I don't know Rob,what with this and the photo thefts etc I guess it provides evidence that your operation is very much admired but at the same time I can't imagine that it makes you glow with pride. As others have asked,is there nothing that can be done about this kind of thing?.

Cheeky buggers.

You going to take the diplomatic route Rob or nuke them?

Maybe get a bot program to start a massive number of emails to be sent to them all day long.

Hello Fellow FOHer's,

What is the old say, 'imitation is the sincerest form of flatery'? I don't know how that plays out in the business world though.... :rotfl: Obviously, you must be doing something right here Prez, if everyone else on the web is copying and stealing from you. It also confirms for all us that FOH is our home indeed.

Thank you and best wishes,

Curtiss

Very cheeky and underhand, but ultimately deceitful.

I was very surprised to get an email recently from someone at the company which deals with many Asian domain registrations. Someone was trying to register my company's domain but with Asian TLDs, this guy were trying to find out if I had authorized this.

I got a 403 error to CL's. Change of mind perhaps?

I've always been getting that error. it's owned by some guy Kevin Woolf. Their telephone numbers don't work either.

Perhaps. They don't ship to Canada so they probably blackholed all Canadian based IP's. No loss.

it's obvious to me that their analytics show that they need to step up their game on the competition. i see it as a feather in the real FOH's cap. "they" need to try and deceive customers and i do admit it's a bit below the belt but the internet is fair game and just about anything goes..

This is business and not personal..

now, where did i hear that quote before.. anyone?

Cheers Amos for pointing it out.

What is an "S" amongst Friends

www.friendofhabanos.com

Upon a second look, that domain was registered by a " Leaf Marketing & Entertainment".

See for yourself.

They also took friendsofhabano.com

Are they affiliated with CL's? And for FWIW, someone else took Cubanlou.com

I do recommend that you register addional domains to catch typos and route them back to your sites.

In a industry such as premium cigar sales, where I'm sure I'm not the only one that feels that honesty is such an important factor in building and maintaining a relationship with an online supplier, how could anyone even think to patronize this guy?

Exactly. They all have the same product more or less. It is service which distinguishes one from the other.
