agreed, this has nothing to do with party politics.

This killer is a spychopath.

It is also true that he had some kind of links with far right groups.

My mentioning this stems from a fear of an obvious rise in xenophobia in Europe and Scandanavia.

there is no 'tea leaf reading' or party poitics in my posts.

The chap who wanted to pull out his fingernails, and peel off his skin, needs to get some help.

...I'd start by pulling out his finger and toenails. Then I'd start peeling his skin back one layer at time...
...They are among the elite of European Socialism, so this piece of $hyte will spend his remaining years in a very posh hotel that they call a prison...
...the maximum he can serve is 21 years under Danish law and with good behaviour he could be out before he is 50...

Seriously, what are you talking about guys?

(Yes, I have heard they teach in the US that there are polar bears walking in the streets of Helsinki, so I'm not wondering.)

BBC reported the same today so looks like it is becoming more true. Apparently the maximum jail term he can serve is 21 years, but if they decide to charge him with 'Crimes against Humanity' then the term can be up to 30 years but no more.

I would assume that they may make a special offense up for the case, but who knows the legality of doing so.

I did read earlier that at the end of the maximum sentence he can be held over upon a finding that he is a threat to society. That's a bit more reassuring.

Prayers and thoughts to the victims, family and friends.

This has nothing to do with faith or conservatism as far as I can see. This is all to do with a psycopath rationalising his actions.

This time should be about supporting a nation and individuals who are grieving. Reading the tea leaves and supposition can wait.

seriously, at the risk of being deleted again, if this was a muslim attack, we'd (and i don't just mean this forum) be throwing around all sorts of adjectives and so on and associating lunacy and hate and insanity with their religion. the bloke claims to be be christian, apparently, and its eggshells everywhere.

the point behind my (previously deleted) post was that they are all nutters, no matter what religion they claim to represent but that we have no problem associating that lunacy with religion when it is horrific acts commited by a muslim but recoil in horror if anyone does the same when it is a so-called christian.

i don't believe that either have anything to do with the "true" beliefs of their religion.

There is nothing one can draw from his actions in terms of Christianity Ken. White suprematism certainly.

There are Islamic extremist groups who interpret sections of their written faith as justification for their actions. They truly believe it. There are Muslim Jihadist schools in Pakistan, Afghanistan, Indonesia and elsewhere. Just Google Muslim Jihadist Schools and it is an eye opener.

There is no modern "Christian" equivalent that I am aware of.

If you call yourself a duck doesn't mean you are one.

There has been for some time now a widespread organised constant Jihadist terrorism element worldwide. There is no Christian equivalent.

This is the work of a deluded individual rationalising his actions in part by associating with a faith the spurns violence and racism of any kind. He is the antithesis of Christianity unsupported by any interpretation.

The only Muslims I know are good decent hard working moderate people. They are representive of the vast majority. It is the reason I won't permit denigraion of "Muslims" on FOH. We can certainly refer to Islamic Terrorist actions but it gets my back up when that term is automatically linked with "Muslims" as if both terminologies are interchangeable.

Norway was not a Christian Terrorist Action. Bali was an Islamic Terrorist Action.

They are my thoughts on the subject and many will disagree.

Every religion has people who will believe what they want to believe out of their faith whether it is Christianity or any other religion and are what you would term nutters Ken but it doesn't mean that the other 99% of the believers are evil ..... it is always a small percentage that ruin it for everyone else and taint alot of good honest people

My heart goes out to those who have lost loved ones in such a horrible act... he needs to be put in jail and rot..
