El Presidente Posted May 16, 2011 Posted May 16, 2011 We are progressively finding out which Cuban Cigar has the highest rate of member satisfaction (and the lowest). I will run through the 30 most popular cigars during April/May and will provide an ongoing chart to see how the cigars stack up. It should go without saying to only vote if you have actually tried one Feel free to post your experiences and thoughts on the thread Todays cigar: Vegas Robaina Unicos Results to date
OZCUBAN Posted May 16, 2011 Posted May 16, 2011 Hi all Absolutely love these Cigars had my first at the Melbourne get together about a year ago or so,they were for me a REVELATION Never had a bad one yet. The strong arm of the Vegas family, this figurado is a symphony to the palate. Well-rounded nuances of wood and dried aromatic herbs are twisted in a medley of chocolate, toffee and honey, and what i can only describe as a Cuban Barnyard /Earth core which combine to make for a most enchanting sensation on the palate. The cigars tremendous ageing potential makes this smoke something special. Cheers OZ
Lotusguy Posted May 17, 2011 Posted May 17, 2011 Sorry, folks, but all three I had were big disappointments for me.
Rogers72 Posted May 17, 2011 Posted May 17, 2011 I smoke these probably more than any other cigar besides the BPC. I love them and don't ever recall a bad one. I my experience with mostly young examples, there is not much complexity to them but they always deliver with excellent flavor and construction.

Didn't' have one at the Melbourne get together but sure noticed clouds of fine aroma! Got around to trying one and wow, they sure deliver. Always a treat to look forward to when there's time to properly enjoy one
bassman Posted May 17, 2011 Posted May 17, 2011 Some have been rich & chocolatey, others taste like cardboad. I guess that averages out to average.
Dbone Posted May 17, 2011 Posted May 17, 2011 I do enjoy the VR Unicos. I do rate them high on the Pyrmaid group. A very smooth cigar, no real bite to it.
thechenman Posted May 17, 2011 Posted May 17, 2011 I've never has a bad Unicos...these cigars really deliver, and are incredibly consistent IMHO.
archosaur Posted May 17, 2011 Posted May 17, 2011 Just finished up an HQ box, consistently good and many were downright excellent. Favorite piramide.
mkz Posted May 18, 2011 Posted May 18, 2011 Havent tried one thus havent voted. Personally I have given up on torpedos/piramides but seeing what other have to say about these, perhaps I´ll try a box in the future...
Yoruba Hacker Posted May 18, 2011 Posted May 18, 2011 Never bad, but again, not as good as they used to be in the late 90's. But I guess nothing is.
