Which would you have given the choice between these 25 count boxes right now?

the 2000's were great though not tried any for a bit. some have reported that they have declined. hope not - still have a box. am enjoying both 03's at the moment but the nod goes marginally to the hoyo. really lovely. if you were buying to put them way, perhaps then the partagas.

be interested in what you are being asked for the 2000's. i remember that they were $130 a box when released. that was back in the 'toe in the water' days of the LE's.

Well, it won't surprise you to learn ken that it's rather more than $130 US(!) but, given that you can't find these anywhere anymore, I reckon a good price; same with the others...

all of them rare as rocking horse doings as they say. PM sent......

I found the Partagas from 2006 rather disappointing, whereas the HdM Pyramid was pretty enjoyable. It has a sweetness to it that I really liked. The wrapper on the one I had was incredible and should have been framed and hung on the wall.

Beware of fakes for the 2000 Partagas Pyramides. I suggest you seek out the date code on that before buying.

Absolutely. Definitely still in circulation. Also remember that they were being sold by "reliable" suppliers with great reputations.

There's no reason these should be around.

I doubt there's a problem given where I've come across these, but good info, thanks.

What should I be looking for when you say check the box codes firedigger?

Given the concern regarding the Hoyo 2003 and it's apparent decline, I'll smoke one of my (very few!) singles to see where they're at before making a decision about buying a full box.

Ditto the D2 2003 Partagas (I think I have only one left of these....)

Going back to the "Legs" question; possibly the Partagas will run further given its naturally more full body in comparison to the Hoyo (as Rob mentioned in the other thread, the hoyo "creaminess" appearing to have declined etc.)

what do others think?

I have a couple of the 2006 D3's left as well, so I can check them out, but I'm leaning towards the 2003 Partagas against this one as a possible box buy; seems to be general consensus that its not as good as 2003 as well....

There's actually a couple more potential boxes that I'll through into the mix; I'll see if I can edit the poll; these are the RyJ Hermosos no.1 2003 and the Romeo Robusto 2001.

I haven't ever smoked either of these so I need advice!

What are like? worth buying a box??

Talk about spoiled for choices. If it were me, I would choose the 2000 Partages Pyramides, the caveat of course being that you have some sort of assurance that they are legit.

Yes, thanks to some help from the guys here, I have an idea about what the box code(s) should be.

Also, I guess the only other assurance he can give me is where and when he got them (it's a highly regarded B&M by the way, although I now know many were duped back in the day with these)

Any other advice as to what I can do to completely ensure they're authentic other than the above?

Cheers for your help guys!

I would go with the 2003 HdM Piramides. They are smoking well now...I enjoyed one last week that was spectacular...I've got one left that I'm saving for some warmer weather. Buy them now and smoke them up.

If you can be sure it's real, the Party Piramide is still an awesome cigar. Sadly, along with the Cohiba DC one of the most widely faked. The Hoyomides were great for a few years, but mine seem to be on the decline. Two batches here. Originals, with old style Hoyo bands are faring better than the second batch with silver bands. Never cared for the Party D3s. Liked the D2s. Like the D1s even better.

I am envious and I will not be voting as I have no experience with any of these but imagine they are all great. I sure am glad I am not in your predicament how stressful haha enjoy whatever you pick up.

You didn't list it, but I'd take the Partagas Serie D3 2001 Corona Gorda EL. They're smoking superbly right now.

only because this particular retailer doesn't have any of those; I've got a couple left in the humi though.

I've also got about 10 D1's which I've always loved!

Yeah...the PSD1s have been the best Partagas EL release thus far...IMHO.

wonder what the going rate is for these now; I haven't seen any around for ages.

I was fortunate to get them when there was still good stocks about, and they were (relatively speaking) quite cheap.
