El Presidente Posted April 1, 2011 Posted April 1, 2011 I want to find out which Cuban Cigar has the highest rate of member satisfaction (and the lowest). I will run through the 30 most popular cigars during April and will provide an ongoing chart to see how the cigars stack up. It should go without saying to only vote if you have actually tried one Feel free to post your experiences and thoughts on the thread Todays cigar: Cohiba Siglo I ____________________________________________________________________ Summary to date:
Tarks Posted April 1, 2011 Posted April 1, 2011 Although I haven't smoked through many of these (maybe a few boxes), they are like most other Cohibas. Semi-inconsistent if I can use that word. It is one of those cigars that either wow me or make me wonder why the hell I buy them. So, I'll vote generally an average cigar.
tsolomon Posted April 1, 2011 Posted April 1, 2011 This is one of my wife's favorites and we have smoked several boxes and they are usually very consistent for both draw and flavor. Although it's not my favorite short smoke, I really do enjoy them.
ColKurtz Posted April 1, 2011 Posted April 1, 2011 Mediocre cigar for me. My box was strong and spicy. More Partagas like than Cohiba. Not bad, not great.
cigcars Posted April 1, 2011 Posted April 1, 2011 *Just wait'll you put the Partagas *Short *Petit Corona *Or some other small Partie up there. I'll bet you get rating "Outstanding" from all voters!
CanuckSARTech Posted April 1, 2011 Posted April 1, 2011 Haven't had any at all, that I can recollect, of the Siglo I's. Had some of the others in the Siglo line, as well as most from the Linea Classica, but the Siglo I isn't one I can give anything helpful on. Great idea for this "series" too, Pres. Nice plan.
Michel1968 Posted April 1, 2011 Posted April 1, 2011 Now, a Siglo I is something I can turn to. I might have been lucky but never had an issue with the ones I smoked...
investandprosper Posted April 1, 2011 Posted April 1, 2011 I have just had a few singles, but they haven't impressed. It's worth it to spend a few more bucks and go with a Siglo II, much more consistent.
dicko Posted April 1, 2011 Posted April 1, 2011 I didn;t vote in the monte poll as I had only had 2 but I've had a few siglo 1's and they have always been excellent so voted as such.
laficion Posted April 1, 2011 Posted April 1, 2011 I really enjoy the Siglo line and the taste profils they have. I can't say that I"ve had bad ones, the only problem I've ever had with some were draw Issue, other then that, great little smoke .
Rogers72 Posted April 1, 2011 Posted April 1, 2011 I voted "Always a Good Experience". "Good" being the key word here. They are seldom exceptional b/c I don't think the format allows for that...but far be it for me to hold its diminutive stature against it. I just can't call them "average". I have never had one that I didn't enjoy.
thechenman Posted April 1, 2011 Posted April 1, 2011 I'm a big fan of the Siglo I and voted accrodingly. It is actually one of the cigars I prefer from the tube rather than the cab as well. Why...I can't say other than it tastes better. Odd...I know.

Certainly agree with both of you!
bassman Posted April 1, 2011 Posted April 1, 2011 I've had great one & crap too, so that's average for my vote.
Deemancpa Posted April 1, 2011 Posted April 1, 2011 I had some really good Sig Is, but a few boxes of average at best; box code 09
Holysmokes Posted April 1, 2011 Posted April 1, 2011 I keep holding off buying a box of the sig I'S... This will change very soon!
rdb6 Posted April 2, 2011 Posted April 2, 2011 One of my all time favorites. At their best they are great; at their worst they are good. I have been smoking these for 12 years and have had very few that weren't excellent.
perfectform Posted April 2, 2011 Posted April 2, 2011 Could be my favorite perla. Always a great smoke.
