LeafLover Posted November 13, 2010 Posted November 13, 2010 Just wondering if I'm the only one, when I.... 1. Wake up in the morning thinking of what I will smoke that night. 2. Go to sleep thinking what I will smoke in the morning. 3. I'm on FOH daily, mulitple times, when I never belonged to a forum before. 4. I'm always thinking, "Will my package be there when I get home?" 5. Have thoughts of cigars at least 5 times a day. (sadly, I know it's more than that) 6. Always anxious about being questioned by wife, "How much was that box of cigars?" 7. Can't remember important dates, but I can recall all the CC's I have smoked and whether I liked it or not. 8. Have more cigars than I can smoke, but still look around online for new ones....daily. Etc.
Cohiba007 Posted November 13, 2010 Posted November 13, 2010 Sounds very familiar lol. You are not alone buddy
rckymtn22 Posted November 13, 2010 Posted November 13, 2010 nope..... ...... well okay maybe 9. Checking the weather at this time of the year for a warm day to hang out in the garage.
coneatty Posted November 14, 2010 Posted November 14, 2010 All of the above for me. And how about this: 10) Texting real time reviews to your smoking buddies.
jackohalloran Posted November 14, 2010 Posted November 14, 2010 Ye that sounds about right. The passion for cigars is a beautiful and powerful thing!
Baldy Posted November 14, 2010 Posted November 14, 2010 Yep same here. As stated above. 11) Always looking forward to the next gathering of the brothers. Anticipating meet new brothers and making friendships that transcends just cigars. If these are the only problems we have in life, then life is grande. Grande indeed. If only.....
Colt45 Posted November 14, 2010 Posted November 14, 2010 I agree in principle, but very generally speaking, I tend to think about cigars more in terms of tastes and smells, and experiences. For lack of a better way to put it, I think that after the fact I try to analyze or at least consider why this cigar was so good, or not so good, is sticking in my mind, etc. But it's still just thinking about cigars
adic88 Posted November 14, 2010 Posted November 14, 2010 That sounds very familiar. Add another: "I better not piss my wife off, she knows where i keep my cigars." An expensive collection of cigars does wonders for the marriage, i guarantee you that. Makes the man so pliable and obedient. HAHAHA!
cigcars Posted November 14, 2010 Posted November 14, 2010 *All of the above (except the wife part) and I spend various moments through the day imagining and remembering the honeyed, syrupy aroma of my latest smokes and dreaming of the ones I will be savoring later. It's like Bster said, and I was thinking too, "How did Leaflover get into my mind's thoughts!!???"
investandprosper Posted November 14, 2010 Posted November 14, 2010 Haha, felt like I was reading a little list about myself there! Sadly, none of my friends on the island are cigar smokers. Would be nice to have a tight group like that. I look forward to a Boli in the morning with coffee, and whatever strikes the mood after the kids are in bed and I either have work to do, or do some online gaming with a couple habanos keeping company. A few nights a week I hang out with the Mrs.
Daidemo Posted November 14, 2010 Posted November 14, 2010 All above... + Planning all your business trips via Dubai to visit walk-in humidors at the Dubai Airport.
samb Posted November 14, 2010 Posted November 14, 2010 Reminds me of myself a little with the addition of: Becomes agitated after wife argues the smoking of a cigar while doing homework, because I had one "yesterday". Blagh, shouldnt matter if I just finished one.
Liuk Posted November 14, 2010 Posted November 14, 2010 lucky me I don't have troubles about the no.6...not yet The other ones are routine =)
Leopolis Semper Fidelis Posted November 14, 2010 Posted November 14, 2010 If a shrink were to read this thread, he'd come to the conclusion that those so obsessed with a bit of vegetation were undoubtedly whack jobs - maybe having had deprived childhoods, etc. There's enough material here for an entire conference, he might think to himself.
armedak Posted November 14, 2010 Posted November 14, 2010 Never let the wife know how many guns or cigars you buy or have in the collection.
Stalebread Posted November 14, 2010 Posted November 14, 2010 I'd take out #6 (my wife is not a nagger and is pretty supportive of my cigar habit). But I would add -- have to constantly resist the temptation to open the humidor several times a day just to smell and look even when I'm not going to smoke.
mazolaman Posted November 14, 2010 Posted November 14, 2010 If a shrink were to read this thread, he'd come to the conclusion that those so obsessed with a bit of vegetation were undoubtedly whack jobs - maybe having had deprived childhoods, etc. There's enough material here for an entire conference, he might think to himself. I would ask the shrink if he had given any thought to seeking proffessional help,to help his tendancy to over analise!! Sometimes a cigar is just a cigar Yep,me too,now when's that package due...?
Ginseng Posted November 14, 2010 Posted November 14, 2010 LOL. I have no idea what you're talking about. Wilkey
