Custom56 Posted February 23, 2010 Posted February 23, 2010 The Cohiba Behike line, which can be enjoyed for the first time at the Gala Evening on 26 February, is without doubt one of the greatest novelties at the XII Habanos Festival. It will be produced in very limited quantities every year at the exclusive El Laguito factory, and the rolling process, using tobacco leaves selected from the finest plantations in San Juan y Martínez and San Luis, will incorporate the Medio Tiempo for the first time – a very rare leaf which offers exceptional character and taste. The natural scarcity of the Medio Tiempo, taken from the upper leaves of sun-grown tobacco plants, and which not all plants produce, makes Cohiba Behike a limited available product which will be somewhat inaccessible for lovers of Habanos. Cohiba Behike joins existing lines with the Cohiba brand name. Its three new heavy ring gauge vitolashave never existed before as Habanos formats. As well as guaranteeing an excellent combustion, they will allow the smoker to appreciate and enjoy the full intensity of its flavour: BHK 52 (52 band gauge x 119mm length), BHK 54 (54 band gauge x 144mm length) and BHK 56 (56 band gauge x 166mm length). Each of these cigar-bands is presented in an exclusive lacquered box of 10, and for the first time the Behike band incorporates two security holograms.
OZCUBAN Posted February 23, 2010 Posted February 23, 2010 They look beautiful and expensive to boot ,I would love to try one or 25 But alas Habanos seems to be deserting there core customers ,the ones that buy the majority of their Cigars (and keep them in business) for the top end of town, while the list of normal production cigars is getting smaller and smaller BIG MISTAKE HABANOS There you go just my 2 cents worth Oz P.S THANKS FOR SHARING
PADDYWHACK121272 Posted February 23, 2010 Posted February 23, 2010 They do look superb - i'm sure the price will be eye watering - i'm guessing $500 a box of 10 easily...anything less would be a pleasant surprise as far as i'm concerned...
sharks Posted February 23, 2010 Posted February 23, 2010 WOW As an ongoing line although limited production price will be very interesting. I better start saving the pennies now! Sharks
Buch0 Posted February 23, 2010 Posted February 23, 2010 I don't see much difference to the Gran Reservas really, and they have come and gone for the majority.. A regular production which most of us wont see or lose sleep over I am assuming. Intriguing none the less
cigarros Posted February 23, 2010 Posted February 23, 2010 Any ideas on when they will be available? This release probably will be available this fall (autumn). But I'm not sure that we soon believe what we desire.... Strange HSA's marketing way...... There is no fire without smoke))
brian1 Posted February 23, 2010 Posted February 23, 2010 Me too. No interest in this release. This Behike release seems just too forced and way too soon on the heals of the over hyped Gran Reservas. Pass!
ChanceSchmerr Posted February 23, 2010 Posted February 23, 2010 I thought they were due for release in March/April...........the look intriguing but the last thing we need is 3 more jawbreakers. Even if they guarantee "excellent Combustion"
ericC Posted February 23, 2010 Posted February 23, 2010 james suckling has quoted on his blog that these will sell for about 100.00 per stick. looking at a grand for a box boys.
dicko Posted February 23, 2010 Posted February 23, 2010 they look mint but too expensive for me. anything 52 rg plus is getting uncomfortable, for me anyway
luisparis Posted February 23, 2010 Posted February 23, 2010 james suckling has quoted on his blog that these will sell for about 100.00 per stick. looking at a grand for a box boys. This is more than the Gran reserva on the french highly taxed retail market. I don't expect an excessive rush for a regular production at this price...
thechenman Posted February 23, 2010 Posted February 23, 2010 Definitley intersted in the Behike's, but likely not at $100 per stick, at least not a whole box at that price.
Ligero Posted February 23, 2010 Posted February 23, 2010 I´m guessing, BHK 56 $ 55 BHK 54 $ 50 BHK 52 $ 45 Now we have to wait and see.
FireDigger Posted February 23, 2010 Posted February 23, 2010 Looks beautiful... but most likely will be way overpriced.
khomeinist Posted February 23, 2010 Posted February 23, 2010 Ha. I will seek one in a trade but would certainly rather have 4 or 5 boxes of J Lopez #1 (just an example). Gotta love the quasi-fascist marketing. Holograms. Restricted access. Ha. Socialism is rotting on the vine with no botrytis.
cigarros Posted February 23, 2010 Posted February 23, 2010 I think that they consider to sell them possible on Russian market. In Russia such price will not frighten customers. Here many people deceived by long lies from russian representatives of HSA and has ignorance of the adequate prices will be ready to buy under these prices! I hate it!!!!!! The last straw breaks the camel's back=))
LiLo Posted February 23, 2010 Posted February 23, 2010 Those have got to be fake, look, there is four white boxes above the cohiba print but in all seriousness I have some interest in the petit robusto, the other ones not so much. Way to big.
LiLo Posted February 23, 2010 Posted February 23, 2010 This release probably will be available this fall (autumn). But I'm not sure that we soon believe what we desire.... Strange HSA's marketing way...... There is no fire without smoke)) I heard somewhere that they should be out in march or april. I also heard that was when the gran reservas were supposed to come out last year but they got pushed back to fall. This might happen with these behikes as well, who knows...
android Posted February 23, 2010 Posted February 23, 2010 It's all about $$$ vs. experience...I'l take ten Partagas SdC # 1 over that overpriced POS any day of the week.
Jimmy2 Posted February 23, 2010 Posted February 23, 2010 Those will sell like hotcakes and i can bet they will have some great Flavor but its something out of my price range who ever buys them enjoy..Very Classy sticks indeed !!
matthew261 Posted February 23, 2010 Posted February 23, 2010 In keeping with so many of the sentiments here...I've had many moments worth far more than $100 while smoking a $10 cigar. I guess I'm just not the target market.
