Ken Gargett Posted February 5, 2010 Posted February 5, 2010 Thanks Ken for posting some interesting articles about cigars of late, they have been really informative and add to the body of knowledge on this forum.Keep up the good work! who poked your cage this morning? actually, smithy, if you had not been off on your annual mud bath with the north qld 'bend-over-and-smile' club, you would have noticed that i actually did post several reviews (and there are several more on the way). i'll assume your inevitable deafening silence to be this week's form of apology. and i'll be good enough not to point out that at least i still contribute with regular appearances on the cigar video reviews. and will even turn the other cheek (something you and the mudbath boys would be only too familiar with) and refrain from pointing out that when you do appear, you are being paid to do so (no conflict of interest there???!!!!) whereas i am not (though more than happy to contribute in my own very small way). in the meantime, my most humble apologies for posting a few things that i thought may interest or amuse some members. i did post in the 'water hole' section, which dictates that this is where we 'Talk about whatever you like' or did i misinterpret? who put the gun to your head to forc you to read them? actually my apologies. i see you have been doing exactly the same thing, 'interest or amuse some members' that is, by keeping quiet for a while. perhaps an encore of that? don't you have something to pack?
Colt45 Posted February 5, 2010 Posted February 5, 2010 Smithy, normally I'd agree with you wholeheartedly, but you haven't exactly been lighting up the forum with cigar expertise as of late. As KG has mentioned, your most recent contributions were something about a man-a-thon, which I take as some thinly veiled innuendo - though I guess not too thinly veiled, seeing as how Ken has asked if you've something to pack........

Colt45 Posted February 5, 2010 Posted February 5, 2010 of late??? doesn't that imply... True.... But I think it's up to all of us to try help bolster his confidence. I mean c'mon - he rides a push bike and still believes in santa claus........

I mean c'mon - he rides a push bike and still believes in santa claus........ and all credit to rob for giving him a job when no one else would. sure, rob gets all sorts of tax rewards for employing the disabled and not everyone can pack a box like smithers, but it was a nice gesture.

Even though he drinks pink mist iced tea, and wears flamboyant blouses, Ayala is quite the philanthropist - look at how he rehabilitated Minismithy, who having flown from the nest, is now on his own in the great, big, world - and he's a vegan!
FlyFishingDude Posted February 5, 2010 Posted February 5, 2010 There's got to be a subliminal message behind these posts, it almost seems cordial......
stargazer14 Posted February 5, 2010 Posted February 5, 2010 Well, one, i was wondering where Smithy had been - nice to see you post! and two, I think he might have been serious in his praise, Ken has been posting lately. so I'm on the fence with this one but can't wait to see where it leads!

Colt45 Posted February 5, 2010 Posted February 5, 2010 if anyone can convince me he was serious, i'll join smithers in his next mud bath. The thumping and thudding you just heard was Smithy tripping and falling down the stairs in his rush to get over to your place before you change your mind.....
asmith Posted February 5, 2010 Author Posted February 5, 2010 You need new material Ken, let the mud-bath go, I expect more from you.
Ken Gargett Posted February 5, 2010 Posted February 5, 2010 You need new material Ken, let the mud-bath go, I expect more from you. i can't think why.

That was a systematic destruction
samb Posted February 5, 2010 Posted February 5, 2010 Ken's simple minded polar bear thread turned into absolutely nothing about cigars
PADDYWHACK121272 Posted February 5, 2010 Posted February 5, 2010 Personally I don't mind and mostly enjoy the non-cigar rated stuff...the beauty of FOH is that KG or anyone else can post whatever they like - if its of interest it kicks off, if not it sinks slowly into the background...do think we should have Deck TV though....
LeafLover Posted February 5, 2010 Posted February 5, 2010 I find the inside jokes between the moderators very entertaining.
Ken Gargett Posted February 5, 2010 Posted February 5, 2010 Ken's simple minded polar bear thread turned into absolutely nothing about cigars it wasn't even my thread! just a one line innocent response.
