  1. Never mind. I posted before I saw the link. Makes me want to be a priest.
  2. The unit could not be easier to use. Just set the temp and humidity you want, put in some distilled water, and leave it alone.
  3. First, I ordered my humidor in March this year. Delivery estimate was 6 weeks. It took about 9 weeks. It's beautiful, great workmanship. After a couple of months, I had a problem with the power supply. I called and discussed with Bob. He had a new power supply delivered to me overnight. Then, the cooling units started acting up, probably because of the power supply problem. I called Bob again, and I had two new cooling units overnight. Now, everything is perfect. From my experience, Bob is a first class guy, and 100% responsive. His estimate of delivery time may be optimistic, but the humidor was well worth the wait. I don't expect perfection, but when problems come up, the real test is how a guy reacts. Bob hit a home run IMO.
  4. I have an Aristocrat custom, a little larger than the M Plus, THC. I love it. I've had a couple of issues, but Bob has been very responsive every time. Lead time is a little long, but well worth the wait.
  5. I've had several RyJ Churchill lately, both tubos and non. Personally, I prefer the tubos, although both are great cigars IMO.
  6. My approach would be to be honest if he asked. If not, MYOB.
  7. Genios is one of my favorite cigars. If you still want to ......trade, shoot me an email. Sales are not permitted on this Forum ]Moderator[/b
  8. I use excel, with columns for cigars I smoke and those friends smoke. Thaen I add a worksheet for each cigar, and keep tasting notes, dates I smked, venue, etc. It's grest to go back and remember each experience. Also helps me see what I need to re-order.
  9. I used a Vinotemp 28 and it worked perfectly. I'm confused about the auto defrost feature you mentioned. Wine coolers don't get below freezing, so why would there be any frost to be defrosted? Be very careful that your unit is in fact thermoelectric. I bought a second unit, a Vinotemp 35. It turned out to be a conventionql cooling unit, and the area around the coil got very cold. Stay away from those.
  10. Yeah, I went off cigars this afternoon for an hour and a half. I found myself in the company of a bunch of smoking nazis. I ran for freedom as fast as I could. Don't pay the ransom! I'm free and lighting up a Monte 2.
  11. I am very much aware that I am safe tonight because of you. Many thanks.
  12. I've had one of the Cohiba 1966. Spectacular cigar. I heard that they are ready to release, but are delayed getting the boxes. Not surenif any truth to that. When they come out, I'll be first in line to buy several boxes.
  13. In addition to gifts and easy to carry, I have found that some tubos just taste better. EG Upmann PS2 and Siglo VI. No, i cant defend it logically and yes, I know lots of cigar smokers disagree, but that's been my experience.
  14. Great topic. Let's start with cigars that are great right away (after 30 days of rest). My favorites: RyJ Churchill Upmann Mag 50 Siglo VI Tubo Partagas PS2 Tubo Monte Open Eagle R&J Duke LE Monte Grand Edmundo LE
  15. Siglo VI Esplendido Sir Winston Lusitania Monte 2 Now, I'll go back and see what everyone else listed.
  16. RyJ Churchill Tubos have been great lately. IMO Siglo VI Tubos are impossible to beat. Partagas P2 Tubos are also very nice. Had one yesterday.
  17. Ironically, it was my cardiologist who first introduced me to Cuban cigars. I had been smoking NCs for years. We were at a party together and he offered me a SCH El Morro. It was the best cigar of my life. He says that smoking cigars in moderation (7 to 10 a week) has no health effects at all, including someone with a history of heart disease. Frankly, I think it can be a net positive, taking into account the health benefits of a little relaxation. Of course, my wife says I can justify anything.
  18. H Upmann Sir Winston Monte GE
  19. Sir Winston is the best Upmann by far, but I' ve never seen them in three packs. maybe singles are available where you are. Mag 50 is a really nice cigar, and probably the size you're looking for.
