Campanas

Campanas (3/5)

  1. Indirect temperature control of our humidors. Everything else is secondary. Cheers!
  2. Happy Canada Day all. Another one at the races - counrty style. Me and the boy (yes John, my son and I), and also my daughter (red hair) and a friend in a 3-legged race. Weather was beautiful around 30c and a breeze finally showed up by the 4th. I ended up batting .333 on my picks and padded the pockets a little. Cheers!
  3. Easy pick - Cruzado Churchill I've had for ~4 yrs. Dial back the body, and we're talking 93/94 territory. Cheers!
  4. Congrats on your findings!
  5. I look forward to the responses. I've strongly considered adding a full-size as a backup for the house as I only have a little Honda 3200i for the trailer. I've had friends go without power for over a week in hurricane season and I'm sorry to hear of your mom's situation - 20 floors would be a nightmare. What size are you thinking of running? 5000, 7000? And how far will it be from the house if it's a portable one? While it will have some mass due to the necessary wattage, gennies do have a nasty habit of growing legs. Even ones 'securely' chained. Good luck in your journey!
  6. I struggled mightily with this 48. Easily the worst I've had in terms of construction as it looked to have an odd bunch on the right, but dog-legged left off the start and it wasn't a humidity issue as the box has been properly rotated and kept a solid 65rh. I tried to keep my ash as long as possible, but today's efforts weren't in vein as she straightened out after the first ash. C'est la vie.
  7. That's even funnier 😆 Cheers!
  8. Beautiful night in Cowtown after all the rain. Sitting on the deck and listening to the frogs. Cruzado Churchill (6 3/4 x 48) ~2021. Opening with leather, salt, cedar, and peanuts. Reminds me of a Mag 46 though fuller-bodied. Construction is on-point, but not much for holding ash. Cheers!
  9. This doc sucked me right in. I love Peter Weller as the narrator - professor at Syracuse University, the man behind Engineering an Empire, and Robocop himself. "Dead or alive, you're coming with me". Cheers!
  10. Thanks Ken - I appreciate the positive. Even it it was staged, it changed the day for a lot of people. Cheers!
  11. Congratulations @JohnS! 28 is a great number 👌 Looks like a fun way to relax and enjoy each other's company. Cheers to many more!
