FireDigger Posted September 13, 2009 Posted September 13, 2009 Tressel outcoached again! The guy can't win the big games... typical Ohio football. They covered the spread though. Ha! He's looking more and more like Bob Stoops. They win a title with another coaches' players, then turns into chokesters.
ndtoronto Posted September 14, 2009 Posted September 14, 2009 Charlie Weis's play calling on the last drive was horrific I could see trying to pass once to catch them off guard but to throw twice! Once to a Freshman WR. The ND boards are lit up right now trying to get John Gruden (grew up in South Bend) on line 1 or Chip Kelly on line 2 I like Charlie as the coach. He is getting the recruits we need (T'eo) but he does some bonehead things when it counts the most I hope he stays no matter what our record is Week 2 Biggest win: Houston Week 2 Biggest loss: Michigan St --- Their chances of winning the MAC are over LOL Best Game: Both spotlight games lived up to expectations ND/Mich tOSU/USC Worst Game: Troy/Florida --- Pouring rain and fumbles everywhere

He does get the recruits but there is always a bad mistake he makes in a game. He cannot lose to anyone else BUT USC the rest of the year...or the war drums will really pick up.
BigGuns Posted September 14, 2009 Posted September 14, 2009 Yes sir! I'm an alum. me, too. Class of '00. You?
thechenman Posted September 14, 2009 Posted September 14, 2009 Yes sir! I'm an alum. Fantastic game. Lot's of talking heads in the media didn't think SC could pull it off. Glad to see they did.
thechenman Posted September 14, 2009 Posted September 14, 2009 Weis is gone by season's end. Horrible...just horrible, and I don't see it getting any better. Recruiting is great, you need that, but even more important is winning games.
Bartolomeo Posted September 14, 2009 Posted September 14, 2009 Looking forward to going to Gainesville this weekend for the slaughter of the Vols Bart
FireDigger Posted September 15, 2009 Posted September 15, 2009 me, too. Class of '00.You? I went there for grad school in engineering 2003-2004. Went to the University of Texas for undergrad. Imagine how I felt for the 2006 Rose Bowl .
sloth Posted September 16, 2009 Posted September 16, 2009 I just have my fingers crossed that Nebraska will finally win a game that counts this weekend at Va Tech...
bunburyist Posted November 12, 2009 Author Posted November 12, 2009 Some interesting developments in the last few games eh? Looks like I might've been right about Weis being out of a job soon....what a waste of space. Meanwhile, Bama continue to dominate everything in their path, and presuming nothing crazy happens the Alabama-Florida SEC title game should be immense. I thought Florida had their nose in front at the start of the year but Bama just look awesome when they're in top gear. Ingram and Jones on offense, and pretty much the tightest defense in the game...I think we're looking at a Texas-Bama title game. This year or next it looks inevitable that Bama will pick up another national title, so like him or not, Saban is on route to becoming one of the best college coaches ever. Roll tide

Roll tide Still not sure if Weis will be fired. If they were going to get rid of him, they would've done it already, but that's just too much money ND would lose. I think right now, Florida vs. Alabama would be the real National Championship Game. I know, I know, I hate to give "SEC homers" more praise, but it's the truth... for now. However, both teams still have three games left before the matchup, let's hope they don't pull a USC. Both teams are on the road this week, so they better watch out. As for my Trojans, seven years on top of the Pac 10 is quite a streak. Next year always looks more promising, especially with a seasoned Matt Barkley and an experienced defensive coordinator. The last few games was hard to watch with the defense struggling the way they did, something not very common in the Pete Carroll era. As for my Longhorns, it seems like they've been struggling all year, but they are undefeated. Now they're in the same boat as Florida and Alabama as they'll probably be double-digit favorites for the remaining games including the Big 12 Championship Game. I hope they don't slip up. Regarding TCU, Boise State, and Cincinnati, I hope they all go undefeated. On top of that, I hope the SEC produces a one-loss champion and Texas go undefeated. That'll really throw a monkey wrench into the BCS formula.

Roll tide Florida has to take it one game at a time right now, but we look forward to seeing Bama in Atlanta in December. Saban is good but he doesnt have two National Championship rings yet, until then, Meyer is a touch above Go GATORS! Bart

A 1/4 final, semi-final, final playoff system surely
