Very nice looking smokes, I must say. I really like the truncated double figuardo shape. It gives 'em a unique style. I can only hope that they are similar in blend to the RA Belicosos. If so, they're going to be dynamite. If not, well.... at least they're Ramon Allones, eh?

Whats the number of boxes going to be set at, Rob?

The pics are from PCC. Look forward to seeing them in the flesh next Monday.

Same here, review, i really would like to see a review asap.

(and i would not mind trying one myself..)

Rob, will there be a singles packed, like

2 x Ramon Allones Celestiales Finos

2 x Limited Edition 2009: Bolivar Petit Belicosos

2 x Limited Edition 2009: H. Upmann Magnum 48

2 x Limited Edition 2009: Romeo Y Julieta Duke

that would be perfect.... (and we all know that Smithy like single orders...)

Sorry for not getting back earlier Rob.

4000 boxes 100,000 cigars

There will be no shortage over the coming months !LOL!

Not only do these cigars look gorgeous, but the box looks sooo much nicer without those ugly warning stickers all over them. I have to say, those stickers really take some of the excitement away from what should feel like unwrapping gifts on Christmas morning.

I believe the warning stickers are applied in the country of importation but I could be wrong. The cigars do look amazing and need to be reviewed ASAP so I can either rest easy knowing I'll live to play another day or have to get 2 boxes. This limbo I am in is not good, not good at all.

Can you imagine a kid unwrapping a Christmas gift with a big sticker on it reading, "This Toy Will Kill You!"

I'm with you on all accounts, Bob!

It's amazing how an "archaic" shape such as this can stir up nostalgia for the way Habanos were a hundred years ago.

I cant say that I know much about the histroy of the size or have experience with vintage Fonseca Invictos or R&J Celestiales Finos but I can say that the size is extremely appealing to me. I thoroughly enjoyed smoking the Edmundo Dantes with the "109" head and barring some really poor reviews it looks like I'll have to decide which box to smoke and which to lay down.

O and Rob, since Smithy is in this week I'm gonna shoot him an email to request box #1. Im sure you wont mind right?

You need to speak to Simon. He is the master of giving away Regional Releases box No 1 :P

I used to be a collector of numbered items... always trying to get the first or last of the release. But with cigars I have no such desire - not one iota.

The way I see it is that the numbers are applied at some stage of either box manufacture or during boxing of the cigars - and therefore is really meaningless. Totally, infact.

I also love that tapered head! Thats a lot of boxes! Could it be the reason the price is so reasonable?

The minimum order for Regional Release is 25000 cigars and the maximum 180,000. So this release falls somewhere in the middle in terms of quantity.

The Asia Pacific Market runs from China to New Zealand and incorporates some very large markets such as Hong Kong. 4000 boxes ( given the uniqueness and price point) ensures a sell out within the time frame of 12 months -18 months. Mission accomplished.

No doubt we will have samplers once the second (bulk) shipment arrives in 3-4 weeks. We will conduct a video review next week.

I am assuming the blend will be good (I really haven't had too many bad Ramon Allones).

While we are at it, Kudos to Dag Holmboe CEO of PCC. He went againt the tradition of Regional fatties, put in in a unque vitola and then made the price point affordable.

Indeed. Please pass on my/our appreciation and gratitude.
