Guest rob Posted August 15, 2009 Posted August 15, 2009 Thanks Prez. But unfortunately the better half doesn't thank you one bit.
Ginseng Posted August 15, 2009 Posted August 15, 2009 For some reason, I am drawn to those Celestiales Finos. Wilkey
sounddust Posted August 15, 2009 Posted August 15, 2009 For some reason, I am drawn to those Celestiales Finos. Wilkey Word. They look like a mini "109".
PigFish Posted August 15, 2009 Posted August 15, 2009 I think you are right Rob the RA's at least have a fair price. I will be looking forward to the review. That RyJ at $20 a stick! Tell me you are not buying a lot of those! These will be $110 a box in 2011... -LOL
canucks6024 Posted August 15, 2009 Posted August 15, 2009 those ramon allones are set at a really good price, that makes it tempting. but I think i'll hold off until I see more reviews on the net
BobLobLaw Posted August 15, 2009 Posted August 15, 2009 Yeah gotta say I am pleased with the RA pricing! Thats pretty reasonable no? This years LEs . . .meh. I really wish the Upmann 48 was a right between the 46 and 50 in length. Then I would be excited about those as well.
bunburyist Posted August 15, 2009 Posted August 15, 2009 hmmmmm.....can't say I'm hugely excited by any of those new vitolas to be honest. The Ramon Allones will no doubt be great (especially at that price) but, the rest....all short and fat. Can get a bit tedious. I agree with Pigfish too, the dukes are steep. Ah well, hope they turn out great for whoever buys them.
harryleech Posted August 15, 2009 Posted August 15, 2009 Love Ramon Allones RE's and those look good. Hope it's not trick photography! I'm in for a box!
thschrminm Posted August 15, 2009 Posted August 15, 2009 Rob, any word on the production numbers for this release yet? X/XXXX boxes made? Thanks for the pics and forewarning on these coming out!
bassman Posted August 15, 2009 Posted August 15, 2009 First year I'm buying absolutely no LEs. They just don't appeal to me. But that's a very reasonable price for the RA CF. I'm in for a box even without a taste. For me, the RA line of REs have been consistantly excellent. The original 05 RA Eminencias is one of my all time favorites. (And they took 3 years to come around, but are fantastic now.)

Maybe the Dukes if they drop considerably at some point.
tattoodad13 Posted August 16, 2009 Posted August 16, 2009 I like the size on RA's and the price doesn't scare me away.
Buch0 Posted August 17, 2009 Posted August 17, 2009 Those Petit Belicosos are making my mouth water at 10am on a Monday morning
El Presidente Posted August 17, 2009 Author Posted August 17, 2009 Rob, any word on the production numbers for this release yet? X/XXXX boxes made? Thanks for the pics and forewarning on these coming out! I haven't got the total production details as yet but I will post it late this week/early next.

Van55 Posted August 17, 2009 Posted August 17, 2009 The German regional release of Bolivar Especiales #2 has hit the shelves at 280 Euros per box of 25. That converts to $398.00 USD and $478 AUD. (This includes the German 18% VAT.) I thought the price comparison is interesting.

I would very much enjoy getting my mitts on a box of these. Thanks Tom
El Presidente Posted August 17, 2009 Author Posted August 17, 2009 Tom, Unfortunately the Regionals are tightly held by distributors. There was a period of distributors swapping RR's in small quantities but then one distributor moron went and discounted them which ruined it for all.
