Just picked up two boxes of LRE Jun09...so I'm curious as to a follow up as well.

I smoked 2 '08 Party Sals back to back on Saturday. Some damn fine cigars although I wish they had a little more strength. They are nice and earthy, some syrupy sweetness and perfectly constructed. I love the vitola - already gone through 3 boxes of the damn things!

I don't know if it's coincidence but after your review the price of these nosedived.

Now that I have a couple of boxes I'm looking forward to a better review when you revisit these.

I just had a single that I had picked up last December in the Stuttgart LCDH.

2009 box code (I don't remember the exact date).

First 2/3 were very bland with only a hint of the Partagas earthyness. Last third got pretty bitter.

Flawless construction and burn but the taste just wasn't there. I am glad I did not spring for a box of these...
