Truly inspirational. Just proves that no matter how bad things can get, there are other out there who have it worse. If they have the strength to overcome it, so can you. You just have to find that moment of clarity.

Good luck Smooth, and here's hoping many more years of continued good health! :2thumbs:

Thank you for the inspiration. It is so easy to get caught up in the BS and forget the simple things that bring us joy. God Bless. My next PSDC3 will be a tribute to Smooth...

I keep telling everyone that Thin ring gauge cigars are the best! The Partagas Serie du Connaisseur No. 3 is an awesome cigar and here is another example on how it has changed yet another cigar smokers life in a positive way!

Hope you continue to enjoy better health and enjoy life to its fullest!

well that is a hell of a story and a great read! I am glad you had the courage to put yourself out there like that. A friend of mine (Eric Compton) actually had a very similar experience to yours. He had a heart transplant when he was 8 and had to give up baseball and take up golf. He went on to become a professional golfer and very recently received a second transplant after 2 more heart attacks. I dont know many people stronger than Eric but I know that he will give it his all to come back and claw his way back through the nationwide tour and back onto the PGA tour. I am a better person for knowing him and wish you both the best of luck moving forward. If you are ever in NYC please dont hesitate to look me up, I will have a great cigar with your name on it.

I have been following Eric for quite awhile and his success has really inspired me to slowly start playing some golf again. Please pass on my best wishes to him... hope he keeps playing and feeling well, he has done remarkably and deserves a pot on the main tour! In fact if he is ever in Australia for an event id love to host him at my club. :)

Cheers.

I would love nothing more than to head over with him and the 3 of us tee it up, that would be a great experience. He's working hard on coping with the recent transplant but everytime I talk to him he sounds better and better. I'll let him know he has another fan- we all need all the help we can get!

Take care man and I hope to see you on the forum regularly!

Smooth -

All the very best to your future health and happiness mate.

It is good to finally read some good news rather than the bad which is so common in todays society.

I suffer from chronic neuropathic pain, when the pain becomes unbearable a cigar will reduce it to a bearable level. They say smoking is bad for your health, I say bullshit. Great story Smooth, keep getting better.
