Huckins Posted March 10, 2009 Posted March 10, 2009 We all have a need for a Tubos every now and then - travel, fishing, golf, gifting. Perhaps you have a favourite smoke that happens to be a Tubos. What is your "go to" Tubos and why?
Evo03 Posted March 10, 2009 Posted March 10, 2009 I really like the H Upmann Coronas Major. The few I tried had great construction and good flavors.
mkz Posted March 10, 2009 Posted March 10, 2009 If I need a tubo I´ll go for the Montecristo petits or Bolivar 2:s simply beacuse Monte 4 and Bolivar PC is two of my top five cigars...
soltino Posted March 10, 2009 Posted March 10, 2009 I have three Tubos that I always reach for: H. Upmann Coronas Junior - just right for going to the driving range with Cohiba Siglo VI - don't know why really, must just be because I love this cigar I guess! Partagas P2 - these just look the business. Wherever you go, you pull one of these Tubos out and you get remarks
Tampa1257 Posted March 10, 2009 Posted March 10, 2009 Bolivar No.3's as well as Montecristo Petit's have been the ones that I have remembered the most. but the Siglo II sure is pretty!
laficion Posted March 11, 2009 Posted March 11, 2009 Jay, A must, Partagas P2. the tube has class and the cigars are great smokes.
Professor Twain Posted March 11, 2009 Posted March 11, 2009 Monte Petits are great, as are the Boli #3s. I also like the Hoyo Coronations, they are a great choice to give to new cigar smokers, mild and sweet and just right.
hoyopr Posted March 11, 2009 Posted March 11, 2009 Boli #2, love them and they always satisfy, like the yellow tube. Need to get some more before their gone.
bolivr Posted March 11, 2009 Posted March 11, 2009 All I got right now is Party corona junior. They're ok, not a lot of complexity, good burn so they are a reliable smoke
Boston Mike Posted March 11, 2009 Posted March 11, 2009 I love the Sig II's also! Unfortunately I only have one left.
Colt45 Posted March 11, 2009 Posted March 11, 2009 I like tubed cigars versus their dress box counterparts more for aesthetics - I prefer round cigars over the box press you get in varying degrees from a dress box. I don't have a true go-to, but as close as I get would be the RyJ short churchill.
audilicious Posted March 11, 2009 Posted March 11, 2009 RyJ Churchill's. always on hand, always pleasant. great to hand out to deserving n00bs
smk819 Posted March 11, 2009 Posted March 11, 2009 I have a few Siglo IIs left, They aare the only tubos I have since I finished my '97 Bolivar #2s. By default thay are my goto, but a great reward when smoked.
