DocRKS Posted January 20, 2009 Posted January 20, 2009 Bruce wrote a line that captures his essence today....'a rich man in a poor man's shirt'.... As far as FOH banning all BOSS threads - I really don't see the reason....
Ken Gargett Posted January 20, 2009 Posted January 20, 2009 that machine will not let me vote more than once!! i might point out that with someone from chicago in charge i assumed that the old adage of 'vote early and vote often' would apply. i'm all for democracy and as the current voting is running strongly pro bruce, time to close the polls before all those self-interested, bleeding heart do-gooders and politically correct nanny state wankers get involved. and if that doesn't happen, may i just say that the majority is not always right. even hitler won elections. and how can you hope to silence the voice of the people in this time of need? bruce will NEVER be silenced.
Fuzz Posted January 20, 2009 Posted January 20, 2009 as the current voting is running strongly pro bruce Just to keep things in a stalemate...
rckymtn22 Posted January 20, 2009 Posted January 20, 2009 send the wanker back to NJ! He's never done it for me.
buster Posted January 20, 2009 Posted January 20, 2009 that machine will not let me vote more than once!! i might point out that with someone from chicago in charge i assumed that the old adage of 'vote early and vote often' would apply. You have to supply a death certificate first... then you can vote as often as you'd like Rick
Jimmy2 Posted January 20, 2009 Posted January 20, 2009 Never like him my family in NJ worship him always busting there chops about him .They get so mad when you talk crap about him he is loved in th state of NJ .I do it just to get a laugh as i am always joking around.
smokem Posted January 20, 2009 Posted January 20, 2009 Lived all my life in NJ and I never liked his music. Go figure.
Tampa1257 Posted January 20, 2009 Posted January 20, 2009 Bruce is a "Has Been", a poser in todays world.
shrink Posted January 20, 2009 Posted January 20, 2009 Funny, the girls in the office were talking about Springsteen today. Something about him singing in the Super Bowl. One of the girls said "He always looks and sounds like he's got to poop. I feel sorry for any woman having sex with him."
Ken Gargett Posted January 20, 2009 Posted January 20, 2009 may i point out that this cack-handed attempt to stifle the soundtrack of our lives now sees three different posts all discussing bruce. i suggest you change tack. i would have assumed such censorship to be un-american, at least it once was and hopefully will be again. at the moment, truth, justice and the american way - spot the odd one out?
Jimmy2 Posted January 20, 2009 Posted January 20, 2009 Does not look good for your boy Ken.LOL I would rather listen to Midnight Oil locked in a room for a week than listen to Bruce for 15 min.
Ken Gargett Posted January 20, 2009 Posted January 20, 2009 Does not look good for your boy Ken.LOL I would rather listen to Midnight Oil locked in a room for a week than listen to Bruce for 15 min. jimmy, i'm the reverse. look around at the popular musicians. i can tell you from experience that wasp bites in the ear are preferrable to listening to most of them. i'd add that the lead singer for midnight express, gave up his principles and became a politician and now sits as a minister in our current govt, though an emasculated one as he made so many blunders during the campaign that he is on the shortest of leashes. the day bruce becoms a politician is the day i'll stop listening.
mkz Posted January 20, 2009 Author Posted January 20, 2009 Theres nothing wrong with W.A.S.P. Great band!! *heavymetalsmilie*
Colt45 Posted January 20, 2009 Posted January 20, 2009 i would have assumed such censorship to be un-american Yes, but this board is based in Oz - land of internet censorship, turning in one's guns without a fight, and queen's birthday...
Ken Gargett Posted January 20, 2009 Posted January 20, 2009 Yes, but this board is based in Oz - land of internet censorship, turning in one's guns without a fight, and queen's birthday... shamefully, bar the guns bit, correct.

I think you are referring to Peter Garrett of Midnight Oil At least he actually cared enough to run for office, I'm so sick of US entertainers having to push their beliefs on the rest of us. I wish they would use their microphone time to entertain not to voice their uneducated biased opinions! i have always loved Bruce's music but who gives a rats ass about his opinion???? And where does Bono get off on voicing his opinion on US politics at all, move back to Ireland if you don't like it you Sunday bloody Sunday F**K?????????????
Colt45 Posted January 20, 2009 Posted January 20, 2009 shamefully, bar the guns bit, correct. As I would never want to upset your delicate sensibilities, in place of "handing in your guns", feel free to substitute "creating a third gender designation for transsexuals".

The bolded word is the first evidence I have ever seen that gargett's keyboard has a shift key.

mkz Posted January 20, 2009 Author Posted January 20, 2009 if they had given him a nobel prize they would have shamed themselves forever. Just wait and see... The last stupid swede/norwegian isnt born yet...
ironpeddler Posted January 21, 2009 Posted January 21, 2009 If he just left his Liberal BS out of his shitty music, I could tolerate him as a NJ resident. But when my tax dollars are spent on NJ State Trooper/Local Police overtime pay because him and Bon Jovi are hosting the latest Democratic Presidential candidate at their homes for a Super Fundraiser....then he really bugs me out! They closed down the Garden State Parkway (our largest N/S super highway on the Eastern side of the state) for these a-holes....on my dime! You can't leave your house for hours before and hours after these guys are here....sheesh! Politics=>Music=>Hollywood...drives me crazy!
mkz Posted January 21, 2009 Author Posted January 21, 2009 I can see from the number of No-votes that Ken has atleast 13 aliases on this board...
Ken Gargett Posted January 22, 2009 Posted January 22, 2009 I can see from the number of No-votes that Ken has atleast 13 aliases on this board... you are kidding. i refer you to the disaster that is the 'all you need to know about nz' to give you an idea of my tech ability and the chances of me working more than one. actually, i was wondering if obama himself was a amember under an alias and had a few staff members vote. i can think of worse ways for him to spend his time.
