If you found that the Home Page was slow to open lately, the problem has been found. :mad:

The site had been hacked and a string of hundreds of hidden links added, thus slowing opening the page.

It is currently fixed but Alex & I will try to sort out how this was done to prevent a recurrence or a more disruptive hack.

It least its nice to know that the website is considered a worthwhile target to add links to.... :P

Trev....sorry to hear mate. Any evidence as to whom they were linking to. Any idea who was behind it?

Not yet Rob, but I know what to look for next time...there were 100's of links

i hate that freekin shite!!! hugh!! i had a music (drum&bass) forum and it got hacked by "hackers". no ad bot dicks but idiots who posted banners across every page telling us thier cool hackzer namez! they got us so bad we were never able to fix it. oh well freed up some time for me. lol

Another example Trevor of someone (you) doing something good for others (FOH) & having it F@#ked up by some A$$hole. Hang in there, keep up the good work!
