Hello everyone-

I'm new to the forums but have been silently trolling them to learn more about an ever growing habit of mine.

Here is a quick overview of how I ended up on these forums.... I randomly decided to try a cigar while on vacation in Grand Cayman. I visited a store in Georgetown and the store attendant recommended a Cohiba Robusto. That night I sat on the balcony and experienced a wonderful cigar...I was hooked. Before leaving the island and I picked up a pack of Montecristo No. 4. I later learned that the store I visited was a legitimate Habanos S.A. I have since started my modest cigar collection. While I've made a point of trying many of the brands available in the US, I have also been able to acquire a few CC during recent visits to Europe. I find it hard to open my humidor and see some Cohiba VI and Monte No. 2 looking up at me, but I've had the will power to let them rest for now. I was introduced to these forums by Chuck (Tampa1257).

I look forward to participating in the lively discussions on this forum.

and tampa, at last count, i think rob had allocated about 145% of the company around. no doubt you have a chunk of that. going to be one hilarious bunfight if/when he falls off the perch.

» welcome. I take it your by Georgetown then?

I picked up the CCs in Georgetown, which is the downtown area of Grand Cayman. But I do live a stones throw away from Georgetown in Washington, DC...wish they sold CCs there too!

Don't we all. You need to come by Drapers or Shellys.

I love them both, but I spend most of my time at Bethesda Tobacco.

I stopped by Drapers the other day after work but it was closed. Guess I'll have to check it out on the weekend. I usually swing by Georgetown tobacco or Old Virginia Tabacco Company when I have free time. I haven't been to Bethesday Tobacco yet, is there a place to sit and have a smoke?

Yea they are not open very late. Something like 5:30 maybe on weekdays. I go at lunch time so it isnt a problem for me. Saturdays are 10:00 - 3:00 I think.

Bethesda Tobacco has a lounge inside as well as a patio outside. They are going to relocate sometime after the first of the year to a location which is twice as big with a much bigger lounge- insdie and out! I'm pretty excited about the new store.

Drappers is a great store, but their hours kill me! They close at 6:30 on weekdays last i checked and are only open on saturdays from 10-4.
