greenpimp Posted July 15, 2008 Posted July 15, 2008 Nice. What is the box code on those pups? I have a cab of ABR06 I keep trying to stay away from. BTW those streaky wrappers are my FAVORITE. They always seems to be rich and powerful. Like the filler tobacco is burning its way out. :-)
Wiley Posted July 15, 2008 Author Posted July 15, 2008 These are ABR 07. Fresh from the banana plantation!
jdbrown Posted July 16, 2008 Posted July 16, 2008 Those are beauties! I had been looking at vintage stock but those 07's look the part!
Jimmy2 Posted July 16, 2008 Posted July 16, 2008 Always wanted to try them and they might be on my next buy. I would go for 06 or 07 as i think the tobacco is far better than a couple + years back... They look great Wiley... Also when i have smoked cigars that had wrppers that looked like that well i call them Tigar Stripes they have been superb !!!!!
Colt45 Posted July 16, 2008 Posted July 16, 2008 » BTW those streaky wrappers are my FAVORITE. I agree - for me very recently, I've had a few very flavorful cigars with this type of mottled wrapper.
shrink Posted July 16, 2008 Posted July 16, 2008 I have a feeling that you're really gonna love these...
hoyopr Posted July 16, 2008 Posted July 16, 2008 I got 3 singles, OEB Dec 06, as part of a selection of singles through Lisa last year and all three were outstanding cigars. They're on the buy a cab list for myself as well now, I'm sure your in for a treat.
Arrow111 Posted July 17, 2008 Posted July 17, 2008 ive heard only good things of these and have been wanting to try them for some time. looking forward to a review once you light one up. congrats on them!
Boston Mike Posted July 23, 2008 Posted July 23, 2008 I have 2 cabs from 02 that are smoking great! If you want to do a 5 for 5 trade to do a taste comparison, send me an email.
patrick Posted July 23, 2008 Posted July 23, 2008 Those are some really good cigars, you will not be dissapointed.
Don Candido Posted July 23, 2008 Posted July 23, 2008 » Not vintage or limited or anything that fancy, but something I've wanted » since I first read MRN's Encyclopedia: The Punch Super Selection No.1, » cabinet of 50. They're ugly as sin and smell twice as stong! » » I'll post again next month after I try one out. I became a lover of Super Selection No. 2's a while back. I still have some in the humidor, I believe. They took the No.2's out of regular production several years back now. I have one old cabinet of No. 1's from around then too (maybe from 1998 or so). I need to go back and try both soon. This may be the push I needed...

Grasso Posted July 24, 2008 Posted July 24, 2008 Wow those look fantastic . . . like a cab of chocolate bars. Can't wait to get a review with those wrappers.
