GTS21 Posted May 10, 2008 Posted May 10, 2008 This box is also a bit of a mystery. Presumed 1970s (there's a stamp on the bottom "1270"), not in MRN. Sort of a corona gorda size. This was a sealed box, smells incredible
shrink Posted May 10, 2008 Posted May 10, 2008 Sort of a corona gorda size. Very curious. I wonder what the "Three Quarter Punch" refers to? If it were 3/4 the length of a Churchill, it would be only a little over 5.2 inches long. I am assuming it is longer than that, based on your comparison to a CG. If it were 3/4 of a Doble Corona, it would be almost 5.7 inches, just slightly longer than a CG. Well, whatever it is, I am quite certain that it is sublime. When I think of the Royal Seleccion No. 11, my favorite Punch, I find that it only becomes better with age... more refined, more sophisticated, but losing none of its flavor and classic twang.
Hugomarink Posted May 10, 2008 Posted May 10, 2008 Wow, fantastic! Please smoke one and let us know how it is. :-D

Wiley Posted May 14, 2008 Posted May 14, 2008 Really amazing! Your "finds" posts are like reading the MRN book, which I love to do! I'm not sure I'd have your nerve to pay money for mystery cigars though. Still, as long as it's your dough, keep 'em coming!
