anacostiakat Posted November 21, 2007 Posted November 21, 2007 Damn! That last fuzzy pic gave me a headache. :-D
cvm4 Posted November 21, 2007 Posted November 21, 2007 They have a lot to live up to. Hopefully they have a profile along the lines of the VR Jubilaums.
Colt45 Posted November 21, 2007 Posted November 21, 2007 Good looking cigars Rafa - thanks for sharing. I hope you'll keep in mind to post a review when you get around to smoking one.
yossie Posted November 21, 2007 Posted November 21, 2007 Wow! I love this brand very much!! I'm looking forward to reading your review. If It sounds very nice, I want to buy it. I have some chance to get the cigar since There's a pararell importer from Spain in Japan and a friend of mine currently is in Malaga,Spain.
TexaSmoke Posted November 21, 2007 Posted November 21, 2007 Those look nice. Now here I go wasting the rest of the day trying to find a place to get some of these.
shrink Posted November 21, 2007 Posted November 21, 2007 » Damn! That last fuzzy pic gave me a headache. :-D That photo resulted from a excess of nicotine! Very nice looking cigars, indeed! If they are anything like the Jubilaums, they will be a must-have.
Colt45 Posted November 21, 2007 Posted November 21, 2007 » I have some chance to get the cigar since There's a pararell importer » from Spain in Japan As has been discussed here more than once, buyer beware.......
yossie Posted November 21, 2007 Posted November 21, 2007 » As has been discussed here more than once, buyer beware....... Yeah, You are right. I one day asked them "What's your habanos distributor?" they didn't answer without the cigars come from EU. so, I'm suspecting they may sell counterfeit. (Even though There's Spanish distributor's warranty seal on the cigars' box. ) So, The best way for me is to get a very trustable shop in UK where Trevor's website tells.
cvm4 Posted November 22, 2007 Posted November 22, 2007 It seems like someone at Habanos got their number mixed up.
wp2 Posted November 22, 2007 Posted November 22, 2007 That box is something to cherish Rafael. From the great man himself!
Claudius Posted November 22, 2007 Posted November 22, 2007 Hey rafa, where's the shop (name, address, website URL, etc.)? I'm going to be in Madrid on Monday night. Will you take me there? I'd get you a cigar ;-) BTW I got rid of the red eyes for you and corrected the levels.
El Presidente Posted November 22, 2007 Posted November 22, 2007 » Rob or anyone , i have a doubt, inside the box there is a little sheet » with the inscription 1800/2400 , i suppose that my box is number 1800 of » 2400 avalaible. But inside box there is a paper flier that said that » Maestros is a limited edition of 20.000 boxes only for Spain. There is a » contradiction ????? Congratulations Rafa! It is not the first time that the Habanos s.a paper flier is printed incorrectly. I know of two occasions previously on limited release humidors where they have made a mistake.
shrink Posted November 23, 2007 Posted November 23, 2007 Rafa: how fortunate to make the acquaintance of Don Alejandro himself while shopping for the RE that bears his name. It makes that purchase, and the cigars, so much more special. I am looking forward to your review; your English is just fine! Very nice photo opportunity, too! Thanks for posting it.

I would guess that they meant 24,000 cigars or 2,400 boxes. They have so few illiterates in Cuba, yet a lot seem to make it to Habanos SA!
Ginseng Posted November 23, 2007 Posted November 23, 2007 Very cool, Rafa! Congratulations on meeting Don Alejandro himself. About the biggest person I've met at my local shop is the regional distributor for Perdomo. Wilkey

rafa Posted November 24, 2007 Author Posted November 24, 2007 » Do you know how long they're open? Estancos usually open morning 10 -14 and afternoon 17-20 . Saturdays only morning. Sundays closed.

My box has a sheet inside that says 20,000 boxes made and a little gold badge affixed to the inside lid that says mine is box 11186 of 20000 I was surprised to see this since I had thought this edition was limited to 2400 boxes only.
Vinny Posted December 11, 2007 Posted December 11, 2007 Hi Rafa, my brother is in madrid he could buy me a box.. Do you remember the price? Thanks!
