Colt45 Posted August 27, 2007 Posted August 27, 2007 I don't know why, but I expected the humidor to resemble the Montecristo traveler. Thanks for the update.

I am not sure I like the design (will need to see it in the flesh) but I am thankfull that Habanos s.a is not simply regurgitating the same humidor with a different logo.

El Presidente Posted August 28, 2007 Author Posted August 28, 2007 Bruce I suspect the second zipper is a seperate section for the humidifier.
Claudius Posted August 28, 2007 Posted August 28, 2007 » why are there two zippers on this? From the press release above: " It is important to know that the lower zipper grants access to the humidifier located at the bottom"

A nice bead unit would work well.

havanaclub7 Posted August 28, 2007 Posted August 28, 2007 I love my Montecristo Travel Humidor. I'm flying to Orlando, FL on Friday and will test it out for the first time. One of the things I love about the Monte is that my Double Coronas and Churchills fit perfectly. I'm not sure that larger cigars will fit in the Upmann travel humidor. Maybe Rob can tell us which vitolas will work when he gets them in stock.

Or smaller, of course, but then they'd bounce around...
1f1fan Posted August 28, 2007 Posted August 28, 2007 Looks very nice. I love the Upmann brand and plan on buying one of these. They would make great gifts too!
Ginseng Posted August 28, 2007 Posted August 28, 2007 I like it! The design is simple and understated. Quite elegant. Wilkey
Tom Bolivar Posted August 28, 2007 Posted August 28, 2007 Great info! Thanks. I like the form and design a lot. Something really diffrent. Would have liked to some more flashy colours. But I like it! Wonder what price it is since I'm thinking of getting one to smoke and one to lay down (since it is a special vitola release, too).
shrink Posted August 28, 2007 Posted August 28, 2007 » why are there two zippers on this? I supposed it was for extra ammunition...
Ginseng Posted August 29, 2007 Posted August 29, 2007 » » why are there two zippers on this? » » I supposed it was for extra ammunition... It'd be cool if you could zip two of these together and then fit some gran coronas. :-D Wilkey
Trevor2118 Posted August 29, 2007 Posted August 29, 2007 » What size was last years Monte Travel Humidor....that I completly missed? » » I'm not a Robusto kind of a guy... :-( More bad luck....it was a Montecristo Edmundo Robusto 52 x 135....:-)

It might even go up to an 'A' sized cigar, but I haven't tried yet. They're great humidors.
tigger Posted November 25, 2007 Posted November 25, 2007 Has there been any more word on these Rob? The more I think, the more I like.
Colt45 Posted November 25, 2007 Posted November 25, 2007 » Has there been any more word on these Rob? » » The more I think, the more I like. I'm not Rob, but have played a pirate on t.v.... According to the HSA website, they will be available in December: http://www.habanos.com/article.aspx?aid=269&type=1
Claudius Posted December 15, 2007 Posted December 15, 2007 » Any word yet? On the new fancy HSA website, they had a presentation at a fair in France and on the pics of the event, you can see a big poster of that thing. Should be out soon. Let's just hope PCC dont come out with it during Rob and Lisa's 5 week Xmas Holiday and are out of stock by the time they get back :-|
El Presidente Posted December 17, 2007 Author Posted December 17, 2007 They will be here in the New Year ;-) I will put my stock order in today so that our "holiday" does not cause immense distress
tigger Posted January 15, 2008 Posted January 15, 2008 Not to be pushy Prez, but is there any word on these?
