Ken Gargett
not a review but just a note to say that i have been slowly knocking off a few of these every now and then. they are an absolute joy. i did pick up another cab in havana and yet to see how that is looking but what a shame these have been discontinued. only negative note was a bunch of singles we got in havana earlier in the year that where really tough. but this cab, like most i've tried (and thanks to all the members who kindly sent suggestions where to source them). and i suppose i should note that i originally got on to these with a recommendation from rob. law of averages? anyone else enjoying these? shrink
» anyone else enjoying these? Oddly enough, I had some 2002's that were eminently approachable in 2005, and even tastier than my 2001 cabs. I've smoked up all my 2002's, but the 2001's are coming along nicely. Every year, the harsh and bitter elements soften a bit more, and greater depth of flavor is revealed. Pretty damned good right now, as a matter of fact!

Jimmy2
Had one years ago that was very tasty. Had bought some a while back about 10 but they never did anything for me not like the first one.
servebig
to date, my largest purchase ever. i bought 11 cabs of the '01s from the last vendor who seemed to have them. shared the bounty with a few friends down at the local B&M, but still have around six left! mmmmmmmmmmmmmmm

What a shame Habanos decided to discontinue this vitola.... But I do agree with you shrink, the 2002 are somehow, not better, but more "tasty" and "profound" (i can't find the word) than the 2001... The last cabinet I bought in Andorra is 2001 and I was surprised 'cause until then all the other cainets I bought were from 2002. After trying few of them, I could say that they are ready to smoke now, while the 2002 could wait a bit longer. I believe it is somehow a good and a bad news! No more cabinet available in Andorra. Few are still available at Madrid airport. Few in Havana, but it is getting harder and harder to find a good one... Guib:-) u

brian1
Ken, I managed to grab a couple a cabs of 02's a few months ago passing through Madrid DF...love these also but boy they are strong cigars, I need to be in the right frame of mind to take one of these on. These cannot be rushed, they are very flavorful complex cigars and I am very happy I have some.

Well Armed
I smoked a 1995 SS#2 the other day. Hoooooly shite!
xibbumbero
I have some from 00 and 02 and the 02's are constructed better. Some of the 00 SS#2's have draw issues but when one draws well it is out of this world good. X:-P
