Tampa1257 Posted September 20, 2006 Posted September 20, 2006 OK, besides the issue that the Bolivar Corona Juniors were packed in a Partagás Short box, as well as the upside down unbanded cigar, what surprises me even more is the difference in wrapper shade from left to right and the variances in ring gauge of the cigars. Some are much thicker than others. Top Notch Quality Control at its finest!

You can see the light didn't diffuse evenly due to the camera being close to the subject. There is a hot spot from the flash on the box's lid. And under that hot spot more light hit the cigars there than off to the sides, especially the left side, making the center and center-right cigars and bands appear lighter in shade/color.
Cal-Duck Posted September 20, 2006 Posted September 20, 2006 I guess I will be the MAN to step up here... Rob, If you feel that there is a problem I will gladly smoke a few and give them my honest review. After all... quality IS my middle name. It is, in my humble opinion, the least that I could do for you. I accept the challange. No need for thanks. Really. CD
bobsled Posted September 20, 2006 Posted September 20, 2006 Wow. Hmm. Ack. Good thing you individually check each box :-)
tattoodad13 Posted September 20, 2006 Posted September 20, 2006 At first I thought you were being serious:rotfl:
pnutbutrsangwich Posted September 20, 2006 Posted September 20, 2006 » At first I thought you were being serious:rotfl: So did I! That's shameful lol.:-D
CWS Posted September 20, 2006 Posted September 20, 2006 » » At first I thought you were being serious:rotfl: » » So did I! That's shameful lol.:-D Same here. Thats a rather awkward situation. Just goes to show you the kind and necessity of the service we are getting. Thanks for checking ech and every box. :-D
greenpimp Posted September 20, 2006 Posted September 20, 2006 Hey! You got the lucky cigar! Congratulations! Born under a lucky star, I tell ya...
greenpimp Posted September 20, 2006 Posted September 20, 2006 Looks like someone took a **** in the box.
ATGroom Posted September 21, 2006 Posted September 21, 2006 » Wow. Hmm. Ack. Good thing you individually check each box :-) I've often wondered - if you guys individually check each box, what happens to the ones that don't make the grade? PCC and Habanos S.A. don't strike me as the kind of companies that would have particularly generous returns policies.
PigFish Posted September 21, 2006 Posted September 21, 2006 You obviously don't know how to decipher the message Rob. Turn the box around and you will plainly see that one of your friends at PCC is giving you the finger!
cvm4 Posted September 21, 2006 Posted September 21, 2006 Ya had me there for a minute until I saw the photo

PigFish Posted September 21, 2006 Posted September 21, 2006 ... from sodomizers to transvestites. Boy, you are beginning to worry me! -LOL

The only thing we send back to PCC are those cigars damaged in shipping.
El Presidente Posted November 15, 2008 Author Posted November 15, 2008 Every box these days is near perfect. Habanos s.a has moved heaven and earth to preach and establish a culture of perfection within factories. The below box of Partagas Shorts is a case in point. So close to perfection that only minute variances can be picked from cigar to cigar. This box code is DIC 05 and represents a culmination of 5 years of Total Quality Control toil. I tip my Hat to those dedicated brave men and women of Habanos s.a > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > >
