El Presidente Posted July 12, 2005 Posted July 12, 2005 Watching a few members at our State of Origin Cigar dinner....you would swear that they could suck a golf ball through a garden hose (I have no idea how they developed that skill ) I saw a Monte 2 disappear in a little over 30 minutes. Now I am a sensitive tactile type and indulge and immerse myself in the the sensual beauty of debauchery of life's better moments. I want to taste every second. A Torp for me can last 1 hr 15 My question..for the sake of uniformity...is how long does it take you to nub a Petite Corona? Would love to see the results. For me it is consistently 45-50 minutes.

For me it is consistently 45-50 minutes. On average I would say 20 minutes. The longest a cigar ever took me to smoke was SanchoPanza Sanchos. A full 90 minutes while golfing. A Mote #2 is about 35-45 minutes
CIGARHead Posted July 13, 2005 Posted July 13, 2005 » Would love to see the results. For me it is consistently 45-50 minutes. Petit Coronas for me usually take a solid hour. I smoke slow and enjoy it. If I want a quickie it's a Monte 5....or give the wifey a Mai Tai:-D
cvm4 Posted July 13, 2005 Posted July 13, 2005 » Smoking a PC down to the nub......50-60 minutes. Around 40 min. :-D
Ken Gargett Posted July 13, 2005 Posted July 13, 2005 you would » swear that they could suck a golf ball through a garden hose i have a video sent by a mate (no names, pj) that makes that trick look pedestrian. let's just say you'd never need a corkscrew again.
mrjinglesusa Posted July 13, 2005 Posted July 13, 2005 Usually about 30-40 minutes for a PC. A Monte #2 takes about 60-75 minutes for me
Freefallguy Posted July 13, 2005 Posted July 13, 2005 I nubbed out a Boli CJ last night in a little over 45 minutes... slow and smooth baby, only way to go!

smk819 Posted July 13, 2005 Posted July 13, 2005 58 minutes to smoke a Boli PC to the nub while playing poker.
Tampa1257 Posted July 13, 2005 Posted July 13, 2005 » My question..for the sake of uniformity...is how long does it take you » to nub a Petite Corona? A Petit Corona takes me 50-60 minutes to ENJOY and nub. Smoking too fast, and IMHO you miss the flavors because you are buring the cigar way too fast and it can taste harsh, bitter and bland. But that is just my opinion. Also, when I say I nub a cigar, it normally has less than 1/4 inch of nub left and the roach clips are needed just to hold the thing.
n2advnture Posted July 13, 2005 Posted July 13, 2005 I agree, most people lose a TON of subtle (and sometimes not so subtle) flavors by smoking WAY too fast. Remember the "One Minute Rule"? A PC takes me approx 45-50 minutes.
Curmudgeon Posted July 13, 2005 Posted July 13, 2005 A poorly (loosely) rolled PC lasts me about 45 minutes. A firmly rolled PC lasts me 60-70 minutes.
lumberjack Posted July 13, 2005 Posted July 13, 2005 Usually around 45-60 minutes. Last night I smoked a great Toboada salomone while watching the All-Star game and it lasted 2:45. Cigars just taste better the slower they are smoked.:-)
Wiley Posted July 13, 2005 Posted July 13, 2005 25 - 35 minutes This is the speed I like. I've tried forcing myself to smoke slower. I didn't enjoy it, so I'm back to the speed I prefer.
idesign Posted July 13, 2005 Posted July 13, 2005 PC's will provide me a good hour of smoking pleasure. Monte 2's about an hour and a half, maybe just under. Habano Hal, 20 minutes? Whoa.....
herfkid Posted July 13, 2005 Posted July 13, 2005 » My question..for the sake of uniformity...is how long does it take you » to nub a Petite Corona? 40ish minutes, usually. A Monte 2 recently went well over an hour.
wasch_24 Posted July 14, 2005 Posted July 14, 2005 PC's take me around 65-70 minutes to nub. Even TPC/Minutos take close to an hour.
harwellplant Posted July 15, 2005 Posted July 15, 2005 45 to 60 minutes. much faster than that gives too much of a burnt undertone to the flavor.
Mel Posted July 21, 2005 Posted July 21, 2005 30-40 min for a PC. If I want a longer smoking time I will smoke two or more. I smoke to fast. If I like it I want more and faster. Monte "A" 1hr and40 min. It works well if my buddy smokes a PC and I do a Lonsdale or Corna Gorda.

Ken Gargett Posted July 22, 2005 Posted July 22, 2005 just finished a por larranga - best part of an hour.
