I had a Sir Winston the other night, and because of time constraints last night just had a monte 4. Not sure what I feel like -- may be a boli CG, or a Lusi, or a SdC 1. If a BCE was bigger it would get the call.

How about you?

I am heading to Vegas tomorrow and will be packing the 01 Cohiba Pyramid, Monte Robusto from jar, Cohiba CE and Esplendido from the Reserva box, and 2 Party lonsdales. Most of my favs. :-D

My local tobacconist just relocated about 1/4 mile from his old place, and tonight and tomorrow is the grand opening event. I had an Esplendido from 9/04, and it was fantastic. Tomorrow I think I am breaking out the 1998 Trinidad Fundadores.

Last night, Poker Night, I had a 00 VR Famoso went well with the new

Sam Adams brown ale that I tried.

Saturday night? I'm thinking of a HDM DC.

Last night I had a Cohiba SigloVI that was great. I followed up with a HDM Epi 2. Also a great smoke. I have no idea what I will have tonight. It will probably be a DC.

Had a psd2, a boli pc and a R&J ex #4. 3 of my favorites. Played in a Texas hold em tournament with 39 other guys. During the evening, it ocurred to me, "who cares if I win?" It was pretty awesome. Finished 14th in the tournament:-D .

Unfortunately, it's another cold and wet weekend. Maybe a Demi Tasse in the garage, but that's likely all the sitting and freezing time I'll be able to stand.

'02 Petit Corona del Punch - richly flavored, tangy and ripe!

'98 Cohiba Corona Especial - spice and honeyed finish, awesome!

Yesterday afternoon, I smoked a gifted Ramon Allones Gigantes. Unfortunately, it must have been almost completely dried out at one point in its life and was expired. Very loose drawing and hot, off flavors. I opened it up after struggling with about a centimeter and found the filler badly fractured. This poor thing had, in effect, been reduced to a badly underfilled short filler cigar.

I followed it up with a Partagas Serie P No.2 and found that while ok, seemed to suggest that it was headed into a sick or muted period.

Finished up with an aged Bolivar Coronas Junior. Boy, did this hit the spot. Mouthfuls of rich smoke with even the slightest, shallowest draw and utterly delicious.

The previous day, I smoked an 04 Quintero Brevas. It was not overpoweringly strong but did deliver ample, oily and earthy tobacco flavors. Very tasty! The second cigar that day was a 98 Jose L. Piedra Cremas. Very nutty, beany and damp leather. A great budget cigar.

I went for the Boli Corona Gigante -- boxed in June 03. Very good cigar and seem to be getting better in contrast to my last sampling. It still showed some of that tightly wound profile with the tannic edge younger Bolis have. All in all very good and I think they will get better.

Hmmm ... may be a Cohiba this afternoon?

I had a few but can remember only one...the Partagas Serie De Connoisseur No 3.

At the 3 year age mark it is as if someone flicks the light swith and it evolves from a dwarf on steroids to the most succulent chocolate stick imagineable.

Gorgeous.
