"If you are to truly know a man - look to his actions - more than to his words." STB

A little while ago - I posted a challenge for the outcome of the Super Bowl Game - I backed my beloved Steelers and 2 others on this Board picked the Sea Hawks. I said that I wanted my winnings to go be sent to our Troops serving in Iraq and Afghanistan. (I know 1 package went out (thanks Chuck the "Mod") still waiting to hear on the other package.......)

In reading the thread, I was contacted by Rob who said he would also like to send a gift over to these men and women, because he understands that regardless of personal belief or political bent - these soldiers are just people, just like us, and the magical and healing power of taking an hour or so and sitting with a few friends while smoking a cigar is one of the great experiences ever offered....and this is magnified 1,000 fold when you are that far away from home and under those circumstances. In other words - this man GETS IT...... Politics be damned - we are just reaching out to people....

Well, the package from El Presidente arrived (and is already repacked and on its way!) All I can say is, "OMG!!!!!"

Rob, your kindness and generosity truly took my breath away and the impact that your gift will have on the recipients is guaranteed to be a 'Home Run !" (or whatever the Aussie equivalent of that is !)

Thank you sincerely for your act of kindness - may your gift have the intended impact and offer some moments of peace and relaxation to those on the receiving end.....and may the day come very soon when none of us will need to send out these kinds of packages under these conditions....

God Bless You and Yours - and the same to everyone at CCzar....

Doc, this is why I think Czars is in a league on its own. I sing this song on other boards also. Making money is what all bussineses attempt to do, treating poeple well is what the great ones do in addition to profit.

The beauty about FOH/CC is that the Rob, Lisa and Smithy care. They have fostered a sense of family and that is what makes this place special. They just aren't about selling cigars... they want you to feel like part of their family. I don't know about others, but this is the only cigar site for me.

Thank you Rob, Lisa and Smithy. Thank you for your generosity and kindness. You are truely a fantastic trio! Again, thanks for everything.

"we are just reaching out to people...."

- You aren't just reaching out to people; you are showing support for the best the country offers-the kind that makes the world safer and will give the greatest generation, who rid us of the seething hate of the Nazis, a run for the money.

Must make a dessert-friendly FOH hat.

Nice job Doc/ Rob. It's always comforting to know that someone cares and that you're being thought of.

May the gifts sent be enjoyed in the spirit and manner you guys sent them.

Doc-

Please E-mail me of where to send a package. I'm sure I worked w/ you last year and sent one to Afganhistan. Let me know. I want to send some staples that you suggested last time.

Nice job Doc.

Nice job Rob.

It is important to support our troops.

Kind actions like this are rare in the world that we live in today.

Here's to random or planned acts of kindness.:ok:

I just received a note from the LT about a few cigars that recently arrived and he included a photo of some of the men enjoying a few of the treats. I thought I would share it with you.

I'm proud of you, Rob. Nicely done.

Thanks for posting that picture from Iraq Chuck. The young man standing in the center of the photo is none other than 1st LT J.T. - one of my 'adopted' sons from his 4 years of West Point through now. In fact, he was the young Officer who escorted my wife down the aisle at my eldest daughter's wedding. His picture was previously on FOH when the pix of the wedding were put up by the lovely Lisa ! :-)

Chuck - I TRULY appreciate your kind gesture in sending my Super Bowl winnings to our LT.... I have never 'enjoyed' a cigar as much as I am seeing our guys enjoying my winning cigars....HOOAH !!!:ok:
