I’d expect to see a lot more yellow on the cellophane and outer paper. I’d lean toward fake but I’m no expert.

It’s hard to tell from those pictures how yellow it is, but after 45 years I would think the darkening would be noticeable even without having to remove the cigar. Color sorting is also off but again the picture and lighting could be at play. I am also unfamiliar with the state of wrapper QC in that era.

A box I wouldn’t even consider without an in person inspection.

You can see the yellow in the third to the last picture on the end of the cigars from the cello. To me they look pretty real, but there are some weird things. The stamp is definitely worn and that date code in the square box looks a little on the strange side, but it does say they didn’t phase out cello until around 1992.

As always you have to buy the seller so do we have a backstory on these? Cigars that old weren’t just handed out the back of the factory by someone’s cousin last week.

Listed on a notorious site but I have not looked into the seller. While the site is renowned for fakes, no doubt plenty of good boxes come through as well.

Just using the Cuban Cigar Website I see that the Cubatabaco Leaf Logo Stamp was used from 1985 to 1994. I would consider this a dress box of 50 cigars in cellophane which was discontinued in 1982. The letter on the box code are not clear enough and at first sight I am not comfortable with all the photos of the band showing only one side. My opinion is FAKE.

Using CCW for guidance, those are a "Varnished boîte nature box of 50 cigars (discontinued pre-2000)". I think the code is OLUS : 05/89. The Cubatobacco stamp is in keeping with the box code (1985 to 1994). I'd definitely take a punt if they weren't ridiculously priced.
