Popular Post JohnS Posted April 18 Popular Post Posted April 18 Greetings friends, I wanted to let you know that our own @ATGroom, apart from working hard for a number of years to get El Habano Moderno published, has recently started a blog series a few months ago on Substack to delve further into the world of Habanos cigars. I have spent the past week going over these articles and I can assert that they are reference quality. In other words, you won't be able to go over them by skim-reading and expect to comprehend them fully. They are quite detailed and in-depth. I caught up with Trevor Leask this week, who started Cuban Cigar Website and passed it onto Alex, and he and I marvelled in how profound each article is. They mainly focus on verifying 'fake' and 'real' Habanos cigars, often with photographic evidence to support their hypotheses. I especially enjoyed the article on Habanos cigar production in 2025, which gave an insight into the numbers of cigars Habanos S.A. is producing annually for each marca. Subscription is $8 (which is nothing) and is well worth your time in going over each article in the blog series, which is currently updated weekly. In the meantime, I'm going to go over this week's latest article - Security Features on BHK bands. https://cubancigarwebsite.substack.com/ 14 8

Popular Post ATGroom Posted April 20 Popular Post Posted April 20 Thanks John, glad you enjoy it 🙏 I consider it to be kind of a CCW+ in that it is seriously nerdy stuff and you need to have a pretty good cigar knowledge to find it useful. For cigar people though I think the bulk of it will be new info, which is rare in cigar world.😁 That's part of the reason for the paywall is that it is some insider sort of stuff and certainly a lot of info that would be useful to counterfeiters, so having a barrier to entry and some ability to monitor who is reading it I think is a good idea. Capn_Jackson Posted April 21 Posted April 21 Awesome! I’ve been wanting to get a copy of the book for a few years, but at least I can subscribe to this. Kudos on putting it together! 3

I’ve been wanting to get a copy of the book for a few years At risk of being called a 'grifter', there are about 500 copies of EHM left, available here: https://shop.cubancigarwebsite.com/ I guess notionally the Substack is for whatever I am looking at each week, so there should be little or nothing repeated from EHM, but it may contain spoilers for my next book. 5 1

I’m baffled how I didn’t know that it was available there, as much as I’ve been to the site. Thanks so much for pointing it out, truly right under my nose 😆 Cheers! 4
Popular Post gormag38 Posted April 23 Popular Post Posted April 23 Subscribed yesterday. Great stuff on there @ATGroom. The best way I can describe the site so far is it's like the stuff that I've always thought about in my head and looked into a bit online and then thought 'damn, no one has really dug that deep into this'. Well now, someone has! 2 3
